Brettina Ashworth
Hello, I'm Brettina. The decision to go to therapy is an important first step in taking care of yourself and your mental health. Life is a journey, and sometimes it helps to have some support along the way. I am currently only seeing adult patients. I especially feel passionate about helping women through all stages of life and struggles, including infertility, pregnancy loss, PMDD, and menopause. I also have vast experience supporting first responders with the trauma they have witnessed.
First session
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and for me to understand what brings you to therapy. It's completely normal to feel a bit anxious about starting this process. I'm a down-to-earth, approachable person, and my goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable and supported.

I am a therapist who offers a warm, compassionate space where you feel truly heard and supported. I believe in the healing power of humor, authenticity, and connection, and strive to create a welcoming environment where growth can occur. I view therapy as a partnership. You are driving the vehicle in your life, and I am the passenger helping you navigate it.
Ideal clients
My ideal patient is someone who is seeking a safe, supportive space to process their experiences and feel genuinely heard and understood. I believe healing can begin through the experience of being listened to, validated, and supported without judgment. I especially enjoy working with patients who are open to gaining new perspectives, challenging unhelpful thought patterns, and developing healthier behaviors and coping strategies. My goal is to help patients better understand themselves.
