New to Grow
Hello! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has spent the past 15 years using a holistic approach with my clients, addressing a wide range of challenges to foster personal growth and resilience. I use methods from CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), Mindfulness-Based, Play, and Expressive Arts Therapy, tailoring them to each client's unique needs and preferences. I pride myself on easily connecting and building relationships with my clients so they feel safe to explore their problems and share their inner struggles. My communication style is warm, personable, direct, and non-judgmental.
I like to get to know my clients in a relaxed way in our first session. I'll try to understand the challenges they have been facing and the path that led them to me. I will get to know their strengths and interests to discover how to incorporate them into treatment. I will answer any questions about the therapy process and what they can expect.
I began my career working closely with at-risk children and teens, developing play and movement therapy techniques that addressed trauma and promoted resiliency. I believe that by examining our patterns and feeling empowered to try new ones, we can take control of our lives and overcome any challenge.
My focus is on helping people build resilience, whether an adolescent who is suffering with self-esteem and identity issues, or a middle age client who is navigating life transitions and needs a space to process emotions and try out some new tools to manage stress and overwhelm. For over the past ten years, I have used a strength-based approach to help people achieve their goals. My clients have benefited from the space that I cultivate which allows them to explore thoughts and feelings to uncover patterns that contribute to dysfunction and powerlessness. Together we tackle the blocks that prevent them from building better habits.

Eclectic
I use a personalized approach with all my clients, combining different modalities to meet my clients’ individual needs. Focusing on what would work best allows me to use psychodynamic techniques to explore past experiences, mindfulness techniques to manage stress, or CBT techniques to identify and challenge maladaptive thought patterns.
