Treacha Slattman
I am an independently licensed therapist who works with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, mood challenges, identity exploration, and life transitions. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, and Internal Family Systems. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, respected, and understood, while also gaining practical tools for meaningful change. Therapy is a space to deepen self-understanding and strengthen your capacity to navigate life with intention, resilience, and self-trust. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and value care that is affirming, inclusive, and tailored to each individual’s needs.
First session
The first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and begin building a sense of safety and trust. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and any questions or concerns you may have. There is no pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with, and we will move at a pace that feels supportive and manageable. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals and discussing how therapy can support your growth. The first session is collaborative and grounding, offering space to feel heard while also setting the foundation for meaningful, intentional work moving forward.
Strengths
One of my greatest strengths is creating a therapeutic space that feels both supportive and intentional. Clients often describe me as relatable and easy to connect with, which helps therapy feel less intimidating and more grounded. Using trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches, I work collaboratively with clients to build insight, emotional regulation, and self-trust. My goal is to support meaningful, sustainable growth by helping clients better understand themselves and engage actively in their own healing process.
Ideal clients
I work best with adults who are curious about themselves and motivated to engage in their own growth and healing. You may be navigating trauma, anxiety, mood challenges, or a meaningful life transition, and feel ready to explore your inner world with intention and care. My ideal clients value reflection, personal responsibility, and collaboration in the therapy process. You don’t need to have everything figured out, but you are open to looking inward, practicing new skills, and showing up honestly for the work. Therapy with me is well suited for those who want support while also taking an active role in building insight, resilience, and lasting change.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in a collaborative, supportive way to help clients recognize how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact. We work together to identify patterns that may be contributing to distress and develop practical tools to support emotional regulation, healthier thinking, and real-world change.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients feel understood while learning tools to manage emotional intensity and life stressors. DBT supports both acceptance and growth, offering practical skills that foster emotional balance, resilience, and healthier relationships.
EMDR
I use EMDR to help clients gently process painful or overwhelming experiences while staying grounded and supported. EMDR allows healing to occur without needing to relive trauma in detail, helping clients move forward with greater ease and emotional balance. At this time I only offer EMDR in person.
Gender-affirming therapy
I offer gender-affirming therapy rooted in respect, validation, and emotional safety. My role is to support clients in exploring their identity, building self-trust, and navigating the world in a way that feels authentic and grounding.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients develop a compassionate relationship with all parts of themselves. This approach supports deep healing by creating safety, reducing inner struggle, and strengthening a sense of calm, grounded self-leadership.
