Hello and welcome. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Texas with over seven years of experience supporting individuals living with severe and persistent mental health conditions. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and have worked extensively in both clinical and community-based settings. My therapeutic approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that every individual has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful recovery. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard and respected as they explore their thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. Together, we work to identify patterns that may be limiting progress and develop practical skills that promote balance, resilience, and improved well-being. I tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs, utilizing evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and strengths-based interventions. I believe lasting recovery is best supported through a combination of therapy, appropriate medication management when indicated, and the cultivation of self-awareness and self-belief. My goal is to empower you to become the best version of yourself—to rediscover hope, build resilience, and move forward with confidence on your journey toward mental wellness.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we began with brief introductions and an explanation of the clinician’s role and the purpose of therapy. Confidentiality, limits of confidentiality, and the structure of sessions were reviewed, and the patient verbalized understanding. The session then focused on exploring the patient’s primary concerns, current stressors, and challenges impacting emotional well-being. The patient was encouraged to share their experiences at their own pace, and active listening, validation, and supportive reflection were used to build rapport and establish a safe therapeutic environment. Information gathered during this session will be used to better understand the patient’s needs, strengths, and goals. This initial assessment will guide the development of a personalized treatment plan to be addressed in follow-up sessions. **Plan / Next Steps** * Continue building therapeutic rapport * Further assess symptoms, coping strategies, and support systems * Collaboratively identify treatment goals * Develop and implement a tailored care plan in upcoming sessions

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked with people with mental illness for more than 7 years, each individual plan is person centered; (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with individuals who are struggling with recovery. My clients are eager to improve, but are missing the tools needed to make their goal a reality. They often feel stuck, and overwhelmed about every thing happening in their lives. Making them vulnerable and susceptible to crime or hospitalization.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT would be use to challenge the patient negative thoughts and feeling and replace them with positive ones.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

The therapist would use CST to show the client she has an understanding of his/her culture, belief or values which attributes to the client culture or racial background.

Motivational Interviewing

The therapist focuses on enhancing the individual’s motivation to change by exploring and resolving ambivalence related to behavior change. Through a collaborative and nonjudgmental approach, the therapist helps the individual identify discrepancies between current behaviors and personal values or goals. The therapist encourages the individual to express self-motivating statements that demonstrate insight into the problem, increased readiness for change, and a commitment to taking actionable steps toward improvement.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

People are the experts in their own lives. The therapist's role is to help the person identify their strengths and resources so that they can find solutions to their problems. People can change.
