(she/her)
Hi, I’m Shari Taylor, LMFT, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 15 years of experience in the behavioral health field. I earned my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and have worked with individuals and families across outpatient, inpatient, residential, and crisis settings. My approach to therapy is compassionate, grounded, and goal-oriented — creating a space where clients can show up authentically, feel emotionally safe, and begin working through the patterns, stressors, and experiences that may be keeping them stuck. I primarily work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, emotional burnout, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Using approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, I help clients build practical coping tools, strengthen self-awareness, and move toward healthier, more balanced ways of living — one meaningful step at a time.
During our first session, my goal is to create a welcoming and supportive space where you can feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. We’ll spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brings you to therapy, the challenges you’re currently facing, and what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process. I’ll also ask questions about your background, emotional well-being, relationships, coping patterns, and any important life experiences that may help me better understand your needs. This first session is not about having everything figured out — it’s about beginning the process in a space where you feel heard, supported, and understood. Together, we’ll start identifying goals and creating a path forward that feels realistic, meaningful, and tailored to you.
One of the defining strengths of my therapeutic approach is my ability to foster an environment where clients feel psychologically safe, genuinely heard, and supported without judgment. I integrate empathy with a thoughtful, solution-oriented framework that encourages both emotional insight and practical growth. Drawing from over 15 years of experience across outpatient, inpatient, residential, and crisis settings, I help clients develop greater self-awareness, strengthen emotional resilience, and cultivate effective coping strategies that support meaningful and sustainable change. I strive to create a space where you can speak openly, process honestly, and begin reconnecting with the version of yourself that may have been neglected while managing life’s demands.
I believe I am best suited to support those individuals who are seeking guidance, emotional support, and practical coping strategies while navigating life’s challenges. I work well with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, emotional overwhelm, relationship concerns, and life transitions who are looking for a supportive and collaborative therapeutic space. My approach focuses on helping clients build insight, strengthen coping skills, improve emotional wellness, and create meaningful progress toward greater balance and overall well-being.

I identify as
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Throughout my 15 years in the behavioral health field, utilizing Solution-Focused Therapy has been fundamental to my therapeutic approach because it enables me as the clinician to help clients recognize their strengths, build on existing successes, and focus on achievable goals rather than remaining centered on problems alone. I have found this approach to be especially empowering for individuals navigating stress, anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, and emotional overwhelm, as it encourages hope, resilience, and practical change. By helping clients identify solutions, small victories, and their own inner resources, I strive to create a collaborative and supportive environment where meaningful progress feels both realistic and attainable.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have also utilized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) throughout my work with individuals facing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, low self-esteem, and life transitions. CBT has been an important part of my therapeutic approach because it helps clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In my practice, I work collaboratively with clients to identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, and build practical skills that support lasting change and overall emotional wellness.
