About me

Since 2012, I have dedicated my career as a healthcare professional to serving my wonderful rural hometown community. In 2021, I earned my Family Nurse Practitioner degree and have since provided primary care services to our amazing pediatric patients. While working with them, I recognized a genuine need for mental health support in our rural area, which sparked my passion for further education. I pursued a post-master’s certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am now excited to be dually certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to better serve those in my community. My sincere aim is to use my skills and experience to help those in my community facing mental health challenges. I believe that mental health does not define a person, and my goal is to treat every patient with the dignity and respect they deserve, fostering a supportive and therapeutic relationship.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, I’ll ask you about your previous experiences and conduct a psychological evaluation known as an initial intake. This allows me to better understand your personal and family background, which is essential for creating your diagnosis and treatment plan. I really want to create a warm, safe, and caring environment where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts, feelings, challenges, and experiences openly. My main priority is to listen attentively and offer you the support you might need.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a provider, my strongest asset is my optimism, characterized by kindness, empathy, patience, and the ability to nurture trusting relationships.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I offer support to individuals of all ages, with a primary emphasis on helping young people between 5 and 21 who encounter issues like Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), conduct disorder, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD). By working together with parents, we aim to cultivate a more hopeful future.

Kasey was welcoming, asked questions and listened to my answers with no apparent pre-conceived notions about me. She offered some practical suggestions in addition to discussing possible treatments and allowing my input on what I think will help.

I started coming to Kasey because my wife knows her and recommended her to get help with my ADHD; and it's more or less changed my entire perception on day today life and has already had far reaching impact on my self regulation. She's very easy to talk to and very responsive to the things you say but allows you to say them; you can ramble on for a minute without knowing it and she will ask questions about the things said so you know she is an active participant the whole time. 100/10 stars
