PMHNP, 1 years of experience
Since 2012, I have been dedicated to serving my wonderful rural hometown community as a healthcare professional. In 2021, I earned my Family Nurse Practitioner degree and began providing primary care services to our amazing pediatric patients. Through this experience, I recognized a growing need for accessible mental health support in our rural area, which inspired me to further my education. I pursued and completed a post-master’s certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Now dually certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I am committed to providing comprehensive care that supports both physical and emotional well-being. My sincere goal is to help individuals in my community facing mental health challenges by offering compassionate, respectful, and evidence-based care. I firmly believe that mental health does not define a person, and I strive to treat every patient with the dignity they deserve while fostering a supportive and therapeutic relationship.
In our first session together, we’ll begin by discussing your previous experiences and completing an initial intake evaluation. This helps me gain a deeper understanding of your personal and family background, which is an important step in developing an accurate diagnosis and individualized treatment plan. My goal is to create a warm, safe, and supportive environment where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts, feelings, challenges, and experiences openly. Above all, my priority is to listen with compassion and provide the understanding and support you need on your path toward healing and growth.
I believe my greatest strength as a provider lies in my optimism and genuine care for others. I approach each patient with kindness, empathy, and patience, always aiming to build a trusting relationship where they feel heard, respected, and supported.
I offer compassionate mental health support to individuals of all ages, with a special focus on helping children, adolescents, and young adults between 5 and 21. I commonly work with those experiencing challenges such as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), conduct disorder, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD). By collaborating closely with parents and families, we work together to nurture growth, strengthen resilience, and build a more hopeful future.
At my practice, the primary focus is on medication management as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. However, I incorporate principles of humanistic therapy into my care by fostering a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard, valued, and understood. I emphasize empathy, collaboration, and respect for each individual’s unique journey, which helps guide medication treatment in a way that aligns with their personal goals and overall well-being.

Kasey was welcoming, asked questions and listened to my answers with no apparent pre-conceived notions about me. She offered some practical suggestions in addition to discussing possible treatments and allowing my input on what I think will help.

I started coming to Kasey because my wife knows her and recommended her to get help with my ADHD; and it's more or less changed my entire perception on day today life and has already had far reaching impact on my self regulation. She's very easy to talk to and very responsive to the things you say but allows you to say them; you can ramble on for a minute without knowing it and she will ask questions about the things said so you know she is an active participant the whole time. 100/10 stars
