(she/her)
I’m Ashley (she/her/hers), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and trauma-informed therapist. I work with adults navigating complex PTSD symptoms, racial and political trauma, compassion fatigue, and burnout, especially those working within healthcare, crisis response, and higher education. My approach centers on radical healing and connection, rooted in the belief that therapy is political, relational, and deeply personal. I don’t ask you to leave parts of yourself at the door. Instead, we make space for all of you to show up.
The first session is a conversation, not an interrogation. I’ll ask what’s bringing you in and what support has felt like. I’ll also share more about how I work and check in about your needs, preferences, and pacing. You’re welcome to take your time and won’t be expected to lay it all out at once. This isn’t about being polished or having the “right” words. You don’t have to be ready or entirely sure why you’re here. You just have to be yourself. That’s more than enough.
Clients have shared that I bring a calm, grounded presence and an ability to hold complexity without judgment. I’ve spent years working in crisis settings: sexual violence centers, hospitals, and campus-based mobile crisis teams, so I don’t shy away from hard conversations or heavy moments. What makes my practice different is that I see therapy as inherently relational and political. I don’t pretend to be neutral. I bring my whole self to our space and invite you to do the same. I draw from EMDR, narrative therapy, trauma-informed yoga, and ancestral healing practices, not as tools to “fix” you, but to support your own inner knowing. Your story doesn’t have to fit a Eurocentric mold to matter here. We’ll go at your pace, on your terms, in ways rooted in honesty, liberation, and rest.
The folx I work with are often the ones others rely on: the caretakers, the advocates, the leaders, the “strong” ones. You might be a trauma survivor, a First Responder or Healthcare Worker running on fumes, or someone living with the ongoing impact of racial trauma. You might even be a student trying to stay afloat in systems that weren’t built for you. If you’re holding a lot quietly, navigating grief, trauma, or the pressure to “keep it together,” this space is for you. I work best with clients who are seeking therapy that doesn’t pathologize their responses to unjust systems; who want to unpack internalized white supremacy, grind culture, or the pressure to be the “perfect client.” Your cultural and ancestral wisdom isn’t just valid; it’s central to our work. You’re not expected to perform, produce, or show up in any particular way. We meet wherever you are that day. You are the subject matter expert on your life, and our work together is a collaboration grounded in respect, transparency, and care.
