Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a chance for us to connect and see if therapy with me feels right for you. We’ll explore what’s been weighing on you, talk about what you’re hoping for, and make space for any concerns or uncertainties. I’ll follow your lead and meet you where you are. This is your time, and you won’t have to navigate it alone.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My strength as a therapist lies in helping you build awareness and insight into the patterns that shape your thoughts, behaviors, and relationships especially those rooted in early life experiences. I believe that understanding what you’ve learned and carried from childhood can be a powerful step toward meaningful change. My approach is gentle, collaborative, and non judgmental. I don’t force change instead, I guide you in exploring what’s coming up for you, helping you recognize patterns and empowering you to decide what changes feel right and achievable. We move at your pace, always respecting your readiness and comfort level. I integrate a variety of evidence based practices and tailor each session to your specific needs. I enjoy bringing in different tools and perspectives to support your growth, whether that’s through psychoeducation, skill building, or deeper self exploration. My experience working with children in the foster care system has given me a strong foundation in understanding trauma and its lasting impact. It has shaped my ability to recognize how past experiences influence present behaviors and relationships. I also incorporate an attachment based lens, helping you understand how your attachment style affects the way you connect with others and navigate relationships. Overall, I strive to create a space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered to make lasting, meaningful changes in your life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who senses that something needs to change within and feels ready to gently explore that in therapy. They may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to move forward, but they’re open to support and hopeful that feeling better is possible. I often work with individuals who experience anxious thoughts that feel difficult to control, like their mind is constantly racing or focused on worry. You might find yourself overthinking, struggling to see the positive in situations, or feeling weighed down during a life transition. At times, it can feel like worry clouds your ability to feel at ease or see things clearly. If you’re wanting to break patterns, better understand yourself, and regain a sense of balance and inner peace, we could be a good fit. In our work together, we’ll gently explore the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be keeping you stuck. We’ll also look at patterns or dynamics you may have learned earlier in life, sometimes as far back as childhood, that continue to show up in ways you may not have noticed. I understand that taking an honest look inward can feel challenging. You won’t have to do it alone. I’ll be there to guide and support you, helping you build awareness, develop new tools, and feel more in control of your thoughts and experiences. Together, we’ll create a space where you feel safe, understood, and empowered to grow.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I enjoy using CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to help both children and adults better understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all connected. In our sessions, we’ll work together in a practical, supportive way to identify patterns or habits that may be creating stress or challenges in your daily life. My goal is to help you build awareness and develop tools you can use to feel more balanced and in control.
