My name is Charla Neville and I am a licensed clinical social worker in North Carolina, with approximately 10 years of experience in providing counseling to diverse populations. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, chronic stress, health challenges, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, and self-esteem. I am also practiced in working with individuals that have experienced different types of trauma.
We will initially complete a consultation visit to ensure that the therapeutic relationship is a clinical "good fit". In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions, including identifying treatment goals and frequency of sessions.
I believe that it is not only important to address the current presenting problems but to also work to gain a better understanding of the root causes to the challenges. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. If you’re looking for extra support, a listening ear, and guidance through a challenging situation or you’re just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
I love to assist those who experience self-esteem challenges to identify their "roadblocks" and develop skills to flourish in their everyday lives. I also like to work with clients that are experiencing life transition challenges, whether they are personal or professional. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious.
Trauma Informed Care
Trauma can be very complex and can shift the trajectory of an individual's life. Using trauma informed interventions can help the individual to explore emotional experiences caused by the trauma as well as developing coping skills to manage triggers and trauma reminders.
Integrative
Integrative therapy is an individualized, holistic approach to therapy that combines ideas and techniques from different therapeutic modalities to address the client's unique and individual needs. We will work together to understand the sources of anxiety, unhappiness, stress, discomfort, or unhealthy behavior patterns.
