As a trauma therapist, I'm dedicated to helping you through your journey of healing from traumatic experiences and sports-related injuries. With a compassionate and client-centered approach, I aim to create a safe space for exploration and growth. My goal is to empower you to process you past traumas, alleviate distressing symptoms, and reclaim control over you life. Whether you're struggling with the aftermath of a traumatic event or facing sports related challenges, I'm here to provide you with the support, tools, and techniques needed to overcome obstacles and thrive.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, I’ll start by giving you a brief overview of my background and experience. Then, we’ll review your intake paperwork together. I’ll make sure to give you plenty of time to share your thoughts on what brought you in and what you’re hoping to get from therapy. After that, we’ll discuss your goals and determine how frequently we should meet moving forward. My aim is to keep the first session as comfortable and straightforward as possible.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider lie in my extensive experience working with trauma and PTSD, along with my specialized training in EMDR therapy. I’m skilled at helping clients navigate and heal from deeply distressing experiences, using evidence-based techniques that foster long-term recovery. I also strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space, where clients can feel comfortable and supported throughout their healing journey. My focus on individualized care ensures that each client’s unique needs are addressed in a way that promotes lasting change and resilience.

My treatment methods

EMDR

EMDR is most commonly used when a client presents with trauma-related issues, such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, or phobias. It can also be effective for clients dealing with complex trauma, such as childhood abuse or multiple traumatic events. EMDR is helpful when a client reports intrusive memories, flashbacks, or persistent distress related to past experiences. I like to get to know my client, do some assessments to see if EMDR is appropriate and utilize EMDR when the client feels ready.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

through goal setting and identifying negative thoughts, CBT works to help the client identify areas for behavioral change by changing their thoughts.
