VirtualAvailable

I am a licensed clinical social worker offering virtual therapy for adults, aging individuals, and those who are navigating life transitions. Therapy with me will be focused on targeted individual experiences that create trauma, anxiety, depression, feelings of inadequacy and overwhelm. I am here for clients who feel caught in the increasing number of people who are suffering from isolation, disconnection and loneliness. My approaches, warm, authentic and disarming – creating a safe, nonsense mental space where clients feel truly seen and supported. I work collaboratively with clients to uncover resilience, build meaningful connections, and make positive changes. Whether you’re facing a crisis or simply filling stuck, we’ll explore your unique story together and find strength in your live experience; together, we will explore a path to move forward. Outside of sessions, I find grounding through adventures in nature, playing pickleball, creating through art project, and joy in the company of my beloved goldendoodles – all reminders of the healing power of connection and genuine presence.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

in our first session, you can expect a calm collaborative space where we get to know what’s bringing you in and what you’re hoping to change. I’ll ask about your history of a pace that feels comfortable, focusing on what feels most important to you right now. We’ll explore your strengths, your current stressors, and any patterns you’ve noticed, will also identify what safety and support look like for you. My goal in that first meeting is to help you feel grounded, understood and not alone with whatever you’re carrying. By the end, we’ll have a clear sense of your goals and a plan for how we’ll work together moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength as a therapist come from being present, grounded, and fully engaged when we are together. I use my authentic self to create a space where people feel seen and safe enough to be honest about what they are carrying. I’m an active listener who pays attention, not just what you say, but how you say it, and what your body and emotions might be trying to communicate. From there, I help you make sense of your experiences and support you and moving forward with clarity, confidence, and practical tools. Clients often tell me they feel genuinely understood, Hurd and supported even when the work is challenging.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone navigating a difficult season or major life stressor who’s ready for support that is steady, grounded, and practical. I work well with people who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or in crisis – including those managing trauma, identity, questions, relationship challenges, or long-standing patterns that no longer serve them. Because my background includes emergency settings, Jail, based work, and the VA, I’m comfortable with complexity: Personality, disorders, addiction, Gender and sexual identity, concerns, and the unique needs of older adults. I have experience with incarcerated individuals and their families. I am a good fit for clients who want to therapist who can stay present in intense moments, offer is safe space to process, offer clear guidance when needed, and help them build insight, stability, and real world coping skills.

My treatment methods

Integrative

“I use an integrative approach, which means I tailor therapy to each person rather than forcing a one‑size‑fits‑all method. I draw from evidence‑based practices to support safety, pacing, and building internal resources before moving into deeper work. My focus is on understanding your unique experiences, strengthening your capacity to navigate challenges, and choosing the tools that fit you best. This allows our work to stay flexible, collaborative, and grounded in what actually helps you feel better and move forward.”

Eclectic

I use an eclectic therapy style, which means I pull from multiple evidence-based approaches depending on what you need in the moment. Instead of relying on a single method, I combine tools from CBT, mindfulness, somatic awareness, and relational work to support safety, pacing and real world change. This flexibility allows me to meet you where you are, adapt as your goals evolve, and choose strategies that genuinely fit your personality, strengths, and lived world experience.
