About me

I am a bilingual therapist offering therapy in English and Spanish. I work with individuals, couples, and clients across different stages of life, with a relational, systemic, and emotionally focused approach. I pay attention to the larger context around a person’s struggles, including relationships, family patterns, culture, history, thoughts, feelings, and meaning. My style is active, thoughtful, and collaborative. I am not a blank-screen therapist, but I am also not quick to push or challenge before understanding where someone is coming from. I ask a lot of questions because I see questions as part of the work itself. A good question can help a person hear their own thoughts differently, organize what has felt confusing, and begin to create movement where things have felt stuck. I also understand Hebrew, though I do not offer full Hebrew-language therapy. My background across languages and cultures helps me listen closely to context, nuance, and the parts of a person’s story that do not always fit into simple categories.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my focus is on beginning to understand the bigger picture of what brings you to therapy. I may ask about what is happening now, how long it has been going on, what feels most important, and what you hope therapy can help with. You do not need to know exactly where to start or have a perfectly organized story. Part of my role is to help organize the information with you. I listen for patterns, relationships, history, thoughts, feelings, and the larger context around the problem. The first session is also a chance for you to get a feel for how I work. My style is conversational, active, and collaborative. I do not rush to conclusions or push solutions before understanding your experience, but I do help us begin forming a clearer map of what is going on and what kind of work may be useful.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my strengths is helping clients step back and see the whole picture before narrowing in on solutions. When someone brings a problem to therapy, I listen for the larger container around it: when it started, how it developed, who is involved, what patterns repeat, and what thoughts or feelings are connected to it. My approach is collaborative and active. I use questions, reflection, and clinical feedback to help clients open up their own internal process and understand it more clearly. When useful, I may offer a different angle, but I try to do that carefully and in a way that builds on the client’s own understanding. Therapy with me is not only about venting or being heard, though those things can matter. It is also about understanding what is happening, why it makes sense, and what might begin to shift.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My work often centers on relationship patterns, family dynamics, anxiety, depression, life transitions, cultural questions, and the ways people understand themselves and others. I am especially interested in helping clients look at the larger patterns around what they are experiencing, rather than focusing only on the immediate problem. In individual therapy, this may include exploring emotional patterns, self-understanding, stress, family-of-origin dynamics, boundaries, identity, and the ways past experiences continue to shape the present. In couples work, I help partners better understand the cycle they get caught in, rather than simply deciding who is right or wrong. The focus is on slowing down reactive patterns, clarifying what is happening underneath conflict, and creating more room for understanding, repair, and meaningful change.

My treatment methods

Integrative

I use integrative therapy by drawing from different approaches depending on what the client is bringing in and what seems most useful for the work. I do not believe every person or problem fits neatly into one method. In practice, this means I may help clients look at thoughts, emotions, relationships, family patterns, culture, history, attachment, communication, and practical choices. I try to understand the bigger picture first, then work with the client to identify patterns and create movement where things have felt stuck. My work is active and collaborative. I ask questions, offer reflections, and help clients organize what they are experiencing so they can understand themselves more clearly and begin making meaningful changes in their lives and relationships.
