Ornella Hegbe

8 years of experience

You took the hardest step today; your healing journey can begin. My name is Ornella Hegbe and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. The space I hold for you is individualized to acknowledge you, support you, and encourage you to be your greatest advocate and to help you figure out what you need. I am versatile in the range of clients that I take ( age and lifestyle, or issue). * I am not currently accepting youth under 17 because I prefer to work with adolescents in office and I am not in office for grow therapy at the moment. ******If you are a client via your worksite with me, I am unable to see you in private practice due to my role as your agency consultant ( this is for FOH EAP clients only).

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I am an open-minded, non-judgmental person who takes pride in creating fun and unique ways to help my clients. I do like to take my time and build trust and comfort with my clients. Informed consent is very important to me because this creates a foundation for trust and safety, so bring your questions about what to expect from therapy and me.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I have a strength-based, solution-focused and person-centered approach. I make use of different evidenced-based interventions such as: CBT, Narrative, Bibliotherapy (poetry) and motivational interviewing. Gentle confrontation. Pointing out areas for redirection. (Gestalt) Culturally aware and sensitive language and communication.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths include working with those who struggle with low self esteem, chronic pain, intimacy issues, sexual trauma, women's health issues ( pelvic pain, endometriosis, pain during sex etc), alternative relationships such as Kink and ENM etc. * Those who may be first generation American/ navigating dual cultures * Everyday life stressors such as work, financial, health related * Intimate family or friend, relationship stressors or conflicts * Difficult life transitions and adjustments, such as job changes, divorce, deaths, moves, etc.
