I am a dual-certified NP in psychiatry and family medicine. I have integrative and holistic psychiatry and medical experience! I have spent the last 18 years caring for patients from all different walks of life. I have 12 years of education post-high school to improve and/or enhance patient’s mental and psychical health and well-being. My comprehensive nurse practitioner experience is in psychiatry, naturopathic, integrative, holistic medicine, addiction medicine (in and outpatient), internal medicine, urgent care, walk-in clinic, pulmonology, and pediatric rehab medicine. As an RN I have experience in the CV-ICU, MS-ICU, PCU, oncology, psych, PACU, ER, rehab, long-term care, and more. I enjoy helping patients and their families. Many of the patients I have had the pleasure of commonly reporting that they have recovered from illness faster than they ever have including from COVID-19. My passion has been to help individuals stay healthy and improve their health for the past 18 years. I began my journey as a nurse practitioner medical provider with a focus on improving the health of the community in which I live. I have been blessed with opening my own medical office, TCL Medical located at 6613 49th Street North, Pinellas Park, Florida in March of 2021. I offer primary care, psychiatry, integrative/holistic/naturopathic, weight loss, anti-aging, addiction medicine, concierge services, IV hydration, laboratory services, and more. The goal of TCL Medical is to provide patients with affordable, leading-edge, superior-quality healthcare services. I am blessed with living my dream every day!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll start with a brief introduction, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me in creating a tailored plan to work through in follow-up sessions.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

I utilize a patient-centered individually customized approach to helping my patients. All medications will be discussed at length and a mutual decision will be made if you need medication and if so, which one(s). My patients are thoroughly educated, and they lead their care with medical and nursing guidance. I offer psychopharmacologic testing which helps to reduce side effects from medications. Every patient deserves the best care and the ability to Take Control of Their Life!

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My biggest strengths are managing depression, mood disorders (bipolar disorders), ADHD, anxiety, and insomnia. I have an extensive knowledge base in those areas and provide substantial education on your diagnosis and the medications prescribed. A few months back I stepped into psychiatry after being recommended N.P. Ganie by my fiancee. Despite my up's and down's and things I'm still working to overcome, Islam has been a major help and always is each appointment. He always listens and provides sound solutions, with humor to pair with it. Always trying to guide me in the right direction, and often feels like talking with a friend. Thank you, Islam!

Yet another condescending doctor who doesn’t listen to his patients. He ignored my long standing ADHD diagnosis and diagnosed me with bipolar despite me never presenting mania symptoms in my life. He also did not disclose that information until I asked for it. He lowered my antidepressants and I’m doing worse than I was when I started seeing him. He also stated that my cesarean scar pain that I’ve had for the last six years was psychosomatic with no physical examination.

I am deeply concerned about the conduct and clinical judgment of this provider. In less than two total hours of interaction, he dismissed my longstanding ADHD diagnosis and instead gave me a new diagnosis that does not align with my history or symptoms. This is especially troubling given the significant overlap between ADHD, anxiety, depression, and borderline personality disorder—distinct conditions that require careful and nuanced evaluation. The most alarming red flag occurred when he advised me to falsely report chest pain at an urgent care facility in order to obtain an EKG. I told him directly that I found this suggestion to be morally unacceptable and made it clear that I would not, under any circumstances, lie to a medical professional. This recommendation not only raises serious ethical concerns—it could constitute insurance fraud and potentially delay care for someone experiencing a genuine emergency. Despite my expressing that I did not feel we were a good fit, he informed me that I would still be charged a cancellation fee unless I continued the appointment and answered his questions. This combination of unethical guidance rushed evaluation, and lack of consideration for my concerns leads me to believe that this provider is not practicing with the appropriate standard of care or respect for patient safety.
