I create a non-judgmental space for individuals and couples navigating life's complexities, whether processing religious trauma, healing from complex trauma, or strengthening intimate relationships. My approach centers on helping clients reconnect with their authentic selves and rebuild meaningful connections with others. My work spans three primary areas: 1. Supporting those processing religious trauma and faith deconstruction, particularly within evangelical Christian contexts 2. Helping individuals heal from complex trauma stemming from rigid family systems and high-control environments 3. Guiding couples to rediscover intimacy and strengthen their emotional bonds The thread connecting these specialties is my deep fascination with people's stories. Whether you're questioning your faith, processing trauma, or working to strengthen your relationship, I believe every story deserves to be heard and honored.
In our first session, I would spend the majority of the time getting to know you and your story, and what makes you uniquely you. I get really curious about your interesting life, even if you don't feel like it is!
My clients and friends have consistently told me that I'm one of the most curious people that they know!
When familiar sources of safety and belonging begin to shift - whether in your faith community, relationships, or family system - the journey forward can feel overwhelming. These experiences often leave us cycling through shame, disconnection, and unanswered questions. Without a safe space to process these wounds, the impact doesn't simply disappear when we leave triggering environments. You're not alone, and it's never too late to begin healing. Together, we can explore your story with gentle curiosity and work toward freedom from shame, deeper self-connection, and more fulfilling relationships. My practice offers a resting place where you can wrestle with questions, process trauma, and rediscover hope - whether individually or with your partner.
I utilize EMDR to treat trauma so that certain memories don't feel trapped or stuck in your mind/body.
I utilize ACT to better understand who you are, what your values are, and for you to live a life that aligns with that. I incorporate elements of narrative therapy, mindfulness, and self-compassion.
I love to explore your family of origin and other significant relationships and how it may have informed your attachment style and help understand your emotional needs and desires.
