Hello there! I’m a therapist who supports children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. I offer a collaborative, culturally responsive space where you can feel seen, understood, and supported without judgment. My work focuses on helping you manage distressing emotions so they don’t feel overwhelming or in control of your life. Together, we build the ability to sit with discomfort, rather than avoid it, while also learning how to slow down and reconnect with the present moment. Many clients come in feeling stuck —I help you create space to not only process difficult emotions, but also to experience joy, calm, and a greater sense of balance. I support you in developing insight, shifting unhelpful patterns, and building confidence in your ability to navigate challenges. Using an integrative approach that may include mindfulness, CBT, narrative therapy, and trauma-informed practices like EMDR, I tailor our work to what best supports your goals. Therapy with me is both supportive and practical—you’ll gain tools you can use in your everyday life, while also doing the deeper work that leads to lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my focus is on getting to know you and understanding the full picture of what brings you to therapy. We’ll explore how you view and navigate challenges, the coping strategies you’re currently using, and which ones feel helpful versus unhelpful. I’ll also ask about your goals for therapy and the supports and resources you already have in place. This initial session is about building a foundation and creating a space where you feel heard and understood. I typically do not assign homework right away, as I want to take time to learn what will be most meaningful and effective for you. When I do offer tools or between-session practices, they are always tailored to your needs and designed to increase awareness and support your progress toward your goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is meeting clients where they are and creating a space where they feel understood, supported, and empowered. I help clients gain insight, shift unhelpful patterns through meaningful reframes, and build confidence in their ability to navigate life’s challenges. I bring both lived experience and a strong foundation in the sciences, along with decades of experience working with individuals across the lifespan. My approach is integrative and tailored to each client. I draw from EMDR to support trauma healing, CBT to address thought and behavior patterns, narrative therapy to reshape personal stories, and mindfulness-based practices to strengthen awareness and presence. Together, we focus on practical tools, deeper understanding, and lasting change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that impact mood and decision-making. Together, we build practical strategies to improve emotional regulation, increase awareness, and support more balanced thinking in everyday situations.

EMDR

I use EMDR to support clients in processing and healing from past trauma and distressing experiences. This approach helps reduce the emotional intensity of difficult memories, allowing clients to move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and relief.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness to help clients become more present, aware, and grounded in their daily lives. These practices support managing distressing emotions, reducing reactivity, and increasing the ability to fully experience both difficult and positive emotions.

Strength-Based

I take a strengths-based approach by helping clients identify and build on their existing abilities, resilience, and resources. This supports increased confidence and empowers clients to navigate challenges using the strengths they already possess.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

My work is grounded in a person-centered approach, where I prioritize creating a safe, nonjudgmental space for clients to feel heard and understood. I believe in meeting clients where they are and supporting their natural capacity for growth, healing, and self-direction.
