I’m Dr. Carline Jean-Philippe, DNP, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Through Pure Path Psychiatry, I provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, trauma-related disorders, OCD, insomnia, and other mood and behavioral health conditions. I believe that every individual deserves to be heard, respected, and treated with dignity. My approach is collaborative, patient-centered, and tailored to each person's unique needs, values, and goals. I take the time to understand not only your symptoms but also your medical history, lifestyle, relationships, and life experiences to develop a personalized treatment plan that supports your overall well-being. My practice integrates medication management with education, supportive counseling, and practical coping strategies to help you build resilience and improve your quality of life. I believe in empowering my patients by providing them with the knowledge and tools needed to make informed decisions about their mental health. Whether you are seeking support for a new concern or managing a long-term condition, my goal is to provide a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences. Together, we will work toward improving your mental wellness, strengthening your coping skills, and helping you achieve lasting, meaningful change.

First session

During your first session, we'll take time to get to know each other and discuss your concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, current medications, and treatment goals. I'll provide a comprehensive evaluation, answer your questions, and work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, lifestyle recommendations, and referrals for therapy when appropriate. My goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where you feel heard and empowered.

Strengths

I provide compassionate, evidence-based, and personalized care tailored to each individual's needs. As a dual board-certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I consider both physical and mental health when developing treatment plans. I believe in building trusting relationships, actively listening without judgment, educating patients about their options, and working collaboratively to help them achieve lasting emotional well-being.

Ideal clients

My ideal client is someone seeking compassionate, evidence-based care to improve their mental and emotional well-being. I work with adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, trauma, PTSD, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, insomnia, and other psychiatric concerns. I also have a special interest in women's mental health, including perimenopause, menopause, premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), postpartum mood disorders, hormonal mood changes, and reproductive mental health. Many of my clients are professionals, caregivers, students, and individuals navigating life transitions, career stress, relationship challenges, or hormonal changes that affect their emotional well-being. They are looking for a provider who listens without judgment, takes time to understand their unique experiences, and develops a personalized treatment plan. Whether your goal is to reduce anxiety, improve mood, manage ADHD symptoms, achieve hormonal and emotional balance, or regain confidence in daily life, I am committed to partnering with you every step of the way. Together, we will create a treatment plan that supports both your mental and overall health so you can thrive at every stage of life.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. During our sessions, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge negative beliefs, and develop healthier ways of coping with life's challenges. I teach practical skills that clients can use between sessions to manage anxiety, depression, stress, OCD symptoms, ADHD-related challenges, and other mental health concerns. When appropriate, I integrate CBT techniques with medication management and encourage collaboration with therapists to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.

Christian Counseling

For clients who desire a faith-based approach, I incorporate Christian counseling into treatment by integrating biblical principles with evidence-based mental health care. I respect each client's beliefs and use prayer, Scripture, faith-based coping strategies, and discussions of spiritual wellness when appropriate and requested by the client. My goal is to help clients strengthen their relationship with God while addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, life transitions, and stress. Christian counseling is always client-led and is offered as an optional component of care, alongside medication management and therapeutic interventions, to support healing of the mind, body, and spirit.
