Welcome! I'm so glad you're here. Here's a little bit about me, and then the rest of this journey is all about YOU... I graduated in 2008 and worked in a middle and high school setting for 15 years. For the past 2 years, I have been working in private practice, teaching and supervising pre-licensed clinicians. I have extensive experience with anxiety, depression and mood disorders. I also have experience working with teenagers who experience various school stressors, physical stressors and relationship issues. I understand that taking the first step toward seeking counseling can be scary, but I applaud you for your courage! Together, we will embark on a transformative journey, working collaboratively to unlock your potential and create positive changes in your life. I am excited to work with clients in a virtual setting. Even though we won't be in the same room, you are my focus! I utilize a whole self approach and help to address needs in not just your emotional self, but also your physical. The virtual space that I keep is meant to help you heal and grow. I look forward to working with you!
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions and then dive into specific challenges you're experiencing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow up sessions. Also, if the client is under the age of 13, please be aware that it may take several sessions to complete a plan and make a recommendation as remote counseling is not always the best option for young clients.
My strengths include: punctuality, empathy and compassion, strong communication skills, culturally competent, non-judgemental approach, ethically based.
Individuals experiencing: anxiety, depression, mood disorders, sleep disorders, relationship concerns, grief and trauma.
Person-centered approach encourages clients to find congruence within themselves as they engage in therapy. This approach provides the client with unconditional positive regard and empathic responses.
Gestalt therapy is a humanistic approach that focuses on increasing self-awareness and personal growth by emphasizing the present moment, personal responsibility, and the therapeutic relationship. It encourages clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in the here and now to better understand themselves and improve their interactions with others.

Dana is literally the BEST therapist I could have ever hoped to find. She has helped introduce me into the world of my recently diagnosed ADHD (just about 2 years ago!) And has helped me tremendously as I navigated through learning about myself and how to be kind to myself-- and as Dana always says "give yourself grace". Dana listens without judgment, and is so sweet, supportive, and funny, and I look forward to every session!

Starting therapy was hard for me, but Dana made the process feel so much easier. From the very beginning, she’s been incredibly authentic, supportive, and genuinely invested in my well-being. Her approach feels personal and caring, which helped me feel safe and comfortable opening up. It’s clear that she truly wants the best for her clients, and that makes a huge difference. I highly recommend her to anyone who’s nervous about starting therapy or looking for someone who is both kind and real.

Dana is an incredibly insightful, amazing therapist. She is thoughtful and kind and always seems to know when to push me and when to give me a little “grace”. As she says, Dana will “keep it real”. I look forward to our sessions every week. I have made so much progress working with her and cannot recommend her enough. If you put the work in, Dana will help get you where you want and need to go.
