LCSW, 7 years of experience
Hi! I'm Eileen. Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, or relationship issues? Since the onslaught of Covid 19, many people have presented with anxiety and depression who have never had symptoms in the past. We have experienced a time of uncertainty unknown to us. I empower clients of all ages to manage anxiety and depression, as well as provide tools to help. Some of my modalities include Solution-Focused Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Psychotherapy. An integrated approach can be used as well. I have been described as a good, caring, sensitive, and energetic listener. I love being a therapist and enjoy seeing my clients grow over time due to putting in the necessary work. I have a background in Strategic Intervention Life Coaching and integrate the methods I used successfully in my Life Coaching business into my therapy sessions with my clients in helping them to clarify their goals, identify obstacles holding them back, and then along with the client, help them come up with strategies for overcoming the obstacles. I look forward to the opportunity to work with YOU!!
In our first session, we will review your intake history. There will be time for the client to ask me any questions they want to know about me and what they would like to accomplish through therapy. We will discuss some of the goals and plans for their sessions and be sure that the client is ready to proceed.
You can count on being heard, and that you will determine the direction of your therapy. I will help you see a fresh and informed perspective on any challenge you are facing. I enjoy working with people and and non judgmental; my clients have stated that they feel safe to be themselves when working with me. I love to provide support and motivation, and be the person who help to hold you accountable.

I love her. Very validating and helps me understand my feelings better. She is encouraging and honest. She walked me through some of the hardest situations in my life so far. She was my saving grace! I hope any one searching for therapy gets to have the same experience and feeling I do after I have each of my sessions.

I have been blessed with this connection with Elleen! She is empowering, Warm, Authentic, Humorous, as well as the two other characteristics I have selected.
I use CBT in my practice daily. I find it helpful in working with clients who struggle with mental health problems and experiences such as: anger problems, anxiety and panic, bipolar depression, OCD, sleep problems, and stress. This is often referred to as "talk therapy", but the main idea is working on the cognitive, examining the way you think, and your behavior, the things that you do.
In this stressful time, I have encountered many clients who have had difficulties with stress and anxiety related to the uncertainty of life. Mindfulness-based therapy is a form of cognitive therapy that incorporates mindfulness practices that include: present-moment awareness, meditation, and breathing exercises. Present-moment awareness is very helpful when working with clients who experience tension, stress, and control issues.
I have had the privilege of helping my clients adapt to the loss of a loved one, going through a painful divorce, or losing a cherished pet. All of these are painful and difficult, and each person grieves in their own time and in their own way. It is often the role of the therapist to assist in grief support when the client is suffering from complicated and prolonged grief, complicated and delayed grief, or exaggerated grief. Treatment is specific to the individual and their situation. Studies show that bereavement interventions do speed up the adjustment process, and the individual does ultimately regain pre-loss levels of functioning.
SFBT is short-term, and many clients prefer focusing on a solution or a more goal-focused approach to therapy. It incorporates positive psychology principles and practices and is future-oriented. I have had much success with this model in my practice.
