Chris Elliott uses Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore and resolve ambivalence about change. He uses empathetic,, nonjudgemental dialogue, to support individuals in identifying their own reasons for change and strengthens their motivation and commitment to personal growth.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness is incorporated into practice to help clients build present-moment awareness, reduce stress, and respond to challenges with greater clarity and calm. Chris uses mindfulness techniques to support emotional regulation, self-compassion and deeper connection to ones's thoughts and feelings.

Acceptance and commitment techniques are incorporated into practice to assist clients develop psychological flexibility which allows them to be present with difficult thoughts and emotions while committing to actions aligned with their values.
