Collaboratively we will create a treatment plan and use a self-compassionate, empathetic and open approach while utilizing various therapeutic tools to help you meet your goals! I believe in tailoring the therapeutic approaches to each client (YOU) which starts by forming a strong therapeutic relationship. I use compassion-focused, trauma-informed, client-centered, humanistic techniques but do not shy away from utilizing cognitive behavioral and dialectic behavior therapy skills when applicable.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. We will go at the pace you feel most comfortable with - it is very important to me that you are feeling comfortable and able to connect with me.
I tailor my approach to my clients needs. I use a holistic approach when working with clients and have a tool box full of tools ready to use. My training ranges from CBT, DBT, Trauma Focused, Polyvagal Theory to Humanistic interventions and techniques.
I have received extra training working with people identifying as part of the LGBTQIA+ community, grief communities, trauma and anxiety related disorders.
I really enjoy working with individuals who are looking for an environment to grow, process and participate while receiving compassionate and empathic care. My clients often struggle with increased anxiety and have experienced trauma or adverse events.
