Hi there! I'm so glad you found my profile. I am an Atlanta-based (born and raised) mental health counselor with an M.Ed. degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Vanderbilt University and a B.S. degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia (LPC #011800) and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Massachusetts (LMHC #10005698). I am also a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS #2186). I have experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults on a wide variety of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, stress, and more. I would love to help you uncover what’s holding you back from being your or best self.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The initial intake session is mostly focused on me gathering information about you so that I can have a thorough, clear picture of how to be able to best support you. From there, we will work together to find the best path forward for you! This might mean weekly sessions or it could look more like meeting 1x/month if that is more suitable for you needs. We might end up just mostly talking during sessions, or we may mix in some mindfulness/videos/journaling, etc.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am approachable, easygoing, and laid back in my therapy work. I don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach to counseling; instead, my eclectic style draws from a variety of evidence-based modalities and perspectives tailored to your unique needs. I use a highly trauma-informed lens in my work, and I believe that meaningful change often requires us to gently look back, understand the impacts of our past experiences, and heal wounds that may have gone unattended. This work can be challenging and, at times, painful - but it can also be empowering, eye-opening, and deeply rewarding. I aim to have clients leave each session feeling at least a little bit better than when they started.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with teens and young adults to help them uncover and work through whatever it is that may be impeding them from becoming the best version of themselves. I enjoy working with clients who are feeling "stuck" in their lives, feeling down in some way, or just overall wanting to make improvements in at least 1 area of their life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I aim to help my clients become more aware of their thought patterns and recognize how their thoughts impact their feelings and behaviors. By learning to think more positively, we can see other positive results in our lives too!

Grief Therapy

I have experienced my own personal losses, and I understand how hard it can be to "carry on" in spite of our grief. I aim to help clients learn to live full, rewarding lives after loss, while incorporating their missing or deceased loves ones into their lives when appropriate.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

All of my work is centered in a person-centered therapy approach, where I try to empathize with my clients, normalize and validate their experiences, and help reflect back the feelings and thoughts that I'm hearing from them so that they can become more self-aware.
