Ocier Blanco
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, holistic mental health care to both adults and children. Since 2012, my experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings have equipped me to treat a wide range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD, and more. I offer both medication management and therapy services, allowing for a well-rounded, individualized approach to care. I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard and empowered, and my greatest strength is building trusting relationships that foster lasting growth and well-being. I understand that reaching out for help can feel overwhelming and taking that first step is not always easy. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and truly understood.
First session
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, supportive therapeutic relationship. We will discuss your reasons for seeking care, your current concerns, personal history, symptoms, strengths, and treatment goals. This session also allows you to ask questions and share what you hope to gain from treatment. If medication management is part of your care, we will review your medical and mental health history, current medications, previous treatments, and any symptoms you are experiencing. Together, we will discuss treatment options and develop a personalized plan that aligns with your needs and goals. My goal is to provide a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and supported as we begin your journey toward improved mental health and well-being.
Strengths
I believe effective mental health care begins with genuine connection, trust, and collaboration. I provide individualized, compassionate care that integrates medication management with a supportive, client-centered approach. I strive to help clients feel understood, empowered, and confident as they work toward meaningful and lasting positive change.
Ideal clients
I work with adolescents, young professionals, and adults struggling with ADHD, anxiety, depression, and related mental health concerns. My approach is supportive, compassionate, and focused on helping clients develop effective coping skills, increase self-awareness, and achieve meaningful personal growth. I also provide medication management services, collaborating with clients to evaluate treatment options, monitor effectiveness, and support their overall mental health and well-being through individualized, evidence-based care.
Treatment methods
Supportive
I use supportive treatment methods by listening to others without judgment, offering encouragement when they are struggling, and helping them identify practical solutions to problems. I try to provide emotional support, show empathy, and encourage healthy coping strategies such as talking about feelings, maintaining social connections, and practicing self-care. I believe that creating a supportive environment helps people feel understood and better able to manage stress and mental health challenges.
