New to Grow
I am a 40 year old native of central/upstate NY- right outside of Rochester. I am a mom to a 3.5 year old daughter which is where my time and energy is spent outside of being a Therapist. I mostly enjoy traveling, watching documentaries, cooking/baking, and learning about German culture. I find myself very easy-going, down to earth and have a huge passion for helping others!
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During your first session, we revisit your reasons for therapy, gather any additional information not provided on the Intake paperwork and create your goals for therapy. At the end of the session (and every session thereafter) we make sure you have another one scheduled!
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also believe that meaningful change happens when we feel heard, valued, and empowered which is why the therapeutic relationship is so important
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Life can feel overwhelming, and at times, even simple tasks can become hard to manage. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, grief/loss, changes and transitions or relationship issues, I offer a warm, supportive space where you don’t have to face those challenges alone. My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make lasting changes.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Helping clients to recognize unhealthy thought patterns and working to challenge and or dispute them is helpful in mood stabilization. With CBT, the premise is that thoughts impact feelings which impact behavior and working to make sure that these are in line leads to better outcomes.
