I specialize in working with teens, young adults, and adults, providing a safe and supportive environment for my clients. With five years of experience as a clinician in emergency domestic violence shelters, I now focus on private practice, specializing in anxiety disorders, OCD, self-esteem issues, relationship dynamics, and eating disorders. I use a strength-based approach, complemented by a positive and warm affect, aiming to bring full presence into the therapy setting. My goal is to help clients explore their inner worlds, build self-trust, and leverage their inherent strengths to overcome challenges and achieve personal growth.
The first session is all about getting to know you. Your strengths, the challenges that you are currently facing, and specific goals you would like to achieve. From there- we will create a roadmap of actionable steps to achieve your goals.
What makes me a unique provider is my warm, empathetic nature and the positive spirit I bring to every session. My extensive experience as a therapist in emergency domestic violence shelters has allowed me to work with a diverse population, encountering a wide range of presenting problems. Working with new women and children every 30 days, I have gained valuable experience addressing a variety of mental health challenges, which enriches my current practice and enhances my ability to connect with and support my clients.
I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with my clients to help them identify and challenge the irrational thoughts and compulsive behaviors associated with OCD and anxiety. By teaching clients practical strategies and techniques, they learn to manage their symptoms and reduce their overall distress.
In my practice, I use strength-based therapy to help clients identify and leverage their inherent strengths and resources to overcome challenges. By focusing on their existing capabilities and successes, clients build confidence and resilience, which empowers them to achieve their goals and improve their well-being.
In my practice, I use psychodynamic therapy to help clients explore unconscious patterns and unresolved conflicts from their past that influence their current behavior and emotions. Through this deep exploration, clients gain insight into their inner lives, enabling them to make more conscious choices and foster healthier relationships.
