Feeling anxious and overwhelmed? Thoughts keeping you up at night? There’s so many things going on around you, forcing you to adjust to new life transitions. You feel stuck. Your anxiety makes it feel like your brain won’t shut off. It’s hard to sleep, your appetite’s changed, and you just don’t feel like yourself. You keep comparing yourself to how others and wondering why you’re not where they are. You can’t stay present even doing the things you love. If you find yourself constantly overthinking, worrying about the future or what others think of you, or if you’re struggling to adjust to a big change in your life - I can help. I specialize in working with young and middle-aged adults who overthink and have trouble with life transitions. I help clients build more confidence, practice ways to lessen anxiety, change patterns of negative thinking, and improve their communication, boundaries, and relationship issues. We will develop goals together and spend each session addressing those goals for you to see progress.
During sessions we will explore negative thoughts that often impact anxiety, practice calming techniques to lessen anxiety, address communication and boundary setting as this can help reduce anxious feelings in relationships, and set small, achievable goals. I believe that change happens through providing a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space to explore the issues that are impacting you. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I have experience in helping people learn to cultivate healthy relationships, navigate life transitions, improve communication, and manage anxiety.
I tailor treatment methods to each individual client. My foundation begins with a client-centered approach, focusing on strengths, identifying systemic impacts, family and relationship patterns, along with Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy techniques. I help you change patterns of negative thinking that are common in anxiety, as well as learn to live more in the moment. I provide techniques to help you cope with life transitions and address relationship issues. I always provide a safe and compassionate space for you to freely express yourself without fear of judgment.
My biggest strength is the connection I build with clients, by being calm, patient, and encouraging throughout our sessions. I help you to see that you're not alone in what you're experiencing, and develop a toolkit to address the symptoms of anxiety you're experiencing. I provide a variety of techniques and listen to your feedback on what works best for you. I will identify themes in your experiences that help connect symptoms and identify goals. I also point out ways of thinking that are unhelpful, while teaching you skills to change these patterns.
