Welcome! My name is Rebekah Lorenz, and I am a LICSW in Minnesota. I have over a decade of experience in the mental health field, supporting people who are experiencing a wide array of life’s challenges. I work together with my clients to create lasting positive changes that are in line with their needs, values, and goals. I'd be honored to support you on this journey!
In our first session together, we'll begin with brief introductions, then talk about what made you decide to start therapy. We'll dive into the specific challenges you're facing, as well as things you've already tried to do to resolve those challenges. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
I'm pretty good at building strong therapeutic relationships with my clients through humor, empathy, compassion, and acceptance.
I really enjoy working with people who come to therapy feeling "stuck" and unsure about how to move forward in life. Some of my specialties include ADHD, low motivation, low productivity, anxiety, depression, and complex trauma.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Processing to support clients gain helpful insights about their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Clients often use these insights to interrupt unhelpful patterns and create new habits that move them towards their goals.
