Jessica Bravo
I am a first generation native Spanish-speaker. I am passionate about mental health awareness, the impacts of generational trauma, and social/cultural conditioning. I utilize various trauma-informed therapeutic modalities including IFS. My approach to therapy is simple: We must face the discomfort and learn to sit with the parts of us that are hurting in order to begin the journey of self-discovery, begin healing, and lead a more authentic life in alignment with our true north. All the answers we are searching for are within. Let me support you as you develop a deeper and more understanding relationship with yourself.
First session
First session involves a comprehensive clinical assessment to gather background and demographic information relevant to care. We will also discuss presenting concerns, needs, and goals to determine if we are a good fit. For couples, the concerns/needs/goals surround the relationship.
Strengths
The power of therapy and commitment to self: Therapy has provided me with the wisdom of self-discovery, and it has allowed me to sit with my pain. True strength lies in our ability to feel and be vulnerable.
Ideal clients
Clients experiencing life transitions, grief, past hurt / struggles, anxiety, overthinking, low self-esteem, stress & burnout. Also, clients recognizing the impacts of social conditioning and developmental trauma have had on their sense of self and are seeking to develop a deeper understanding and relationship with self. Clients seeking to make peace with their past, reclaim their life, and are ready to live a more aligned life with their true north.
Treatment methods
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
I incorporate Internal Family Systems (IFS) in my practice to help clients develop a relationship with their parts that's rooted in compassion and love. Helping their parts unburden over time and creating a better balance within their system.
