I am a licensed and certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with a background also in primary care. I received my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner post Master's education from Eastern Kentucky University and Family Nurse Practitioner Master's degree from the University of Phoenix. I help those struggling with a variety of behavioral health disorders such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, eating disorders, inattention, ADHD, Autism and more , across all ages of the lifespan and strive to reduce the social stigma of mental health disorders and psychiatric care. I offer non-stimulant and non-benzodiazepine treatments.
In our first appointment, my patients and I will learn about each other, I will seek to obtain patient history, understand patient goals, treatment preferences , assess and begin to formulate a plan toward mutual goals.
I look at patients' situations holistically, identify socioeconomic barriers that contribute to mental health disorders such as anxiety and depression, seek solutions to socioeconomic barriers , and am able to identify non-psychatric medical conditions that present with similar psychiatric symptoms.
I offer weekend and after hour availability to accommodate all individuals. I love working with patients to help them understand that as humans, we all struggle with moods, emotions, stressors and family history and treatment is available to all individuals. My goal is that patients recognize their potential to function in daily life, achieved with psychotherapy and medication management treatment.

It was difficult enough for me to even try to seek help. To have Monica not show for our very first session is very disheartening and makes me question if I'm even worth the effort of getting help. It makes me feel like I've wasted my time and there is no help available. I waited 20 minutes and nothing, not even a message saying she was running late.
