New to Grow
In my decade+ experience as a therapist, I've learned that the most important element of therapy is relationship. I bring my personality to our sessions, sharing my coirkiness, playfulness, celebration of my clients, and compassion for my clients' journeys. With relationship as a foundation, I always listen to intuition for what might need attention, exploration, and care. My passion is offering clients tools like EMDR, guided meditations, and hypnosis to assist them in contacting deeper parts of themselves and their own wisdom to confront the big challenges of life.
Our first session will be a chance to name some of your intentions for our space we are creating together, as well as exploring the resources and supports you already have in your life: inner strengths, supportive relationships, and creative practices. There's no pressure to dig into the deep stuff right away - unless you are experiencing something pressing that you want to get right into, and then I'll be beside you in that!
I have a deep reverence for each person I meet with and their own inner wisdom that is always learning and growing through each experience. Because of this, I won't offer solutions - I use my sensitivity and intuitive gifts to ask questions and offer practices that can help you get in touch with more of yourself around "the symptoms/problem/challenge", so that you can feel you have what you need to navigate your life in an intentional way.
The clients that tend to work well with me are people who are highly sensitive in some way - sometimes as a result of experiencing complex trauma, sometimes because they are neurodivergent. I work well with people that are ready to look at ways of being in their life that just aren't working well for them anymore: be it numbing, dissociating, avoiding, people pleasing, or some other pattern that is revealing itself! I also work well with people that like a relational style: I won't be an expert on your life, I will be someone that can walk with you on your journey, share my perspective with you and invite you into some practices that could connect you more deeply to your inner wisdom.
Other specialties
I identify as
EMDR
EMDR is a tool I love to weave in to support my clients in being with past experiences, beliefs they're holding about themselves, emotions, or even bodily sensations that are taking them away from feeling fulfilled in their life - so that they can give their nervous systems and bodies the space to process anything that feels "too big or too much" and make room for more connection and presence in their lives.
Hypnotherapy
When there are subconscious beliefs that are shaping our experience of reality, sometimes awareness isn't enough. Hypnotherapy is a tool I like to offer if someone is wanting to shift their beliefs, patterns, or behaviors at the subsconscious level - this can be really helpful around themes where there is a lot of shame or pressure, so that they can get support around change without having to go head to head with their inner critic.
Transpersonal
For my clients that feel open to this way of thinking and find it supportive, I love to incorporate ancestral connection into the healing path. This includes things like: naming patterns and pain that started before my clients were even born, having a practice and way of connecting with loving and supportive ancestors, and even releasing ancestral burdens to make more room for joyful living!
