I am a therapist who works with adults ready to take an active role in their mental health and personal development. I specialize in anxiety, ADHD, life transitions, and work-related stress, using evidence-based approaches to support emotional regulation, self-esteem, and follow-through. I value consistency, accountability, and thoughtful engagement in therapy. My work is best suited for clients who are motivated to build skills, reflect honestly, and create lasting change.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session focuses on understanding what brings you to therapy, your goals, and what you are hoping to change. We will discuss relevant history, current stressors, and what has or has not worked for you in the past. I will also share how I work and what you can expect from therapy moving forward. This session is structured and collaborative, and it works best when clients are prepared to reflect honestly, engage actively, and complete intake paperwork and assessments. Therapy is most effective when there is consistency, openness, and willingness to apply skills outside of the session.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strengths include providing a structured, skills-based approach while maintaining a calm and supportive therapeutic presence. I help clients break down overwhelming thoughts and emotions into manageable steps, using evidence-based methods such as CBT, DBT skills, and mindfulness-based interventions. I am thoughtful and intentional in sessions, helping clients develop insight, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen follow-through between sessions. Clients who work well with me often experience increased clarity, improved coping, and greater confidence in navigating stress, work challenges, and life transitions.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are adults navigating anxiety, ADHD, life transitions, work stress, self-esteem concerns, or women’s issues who are ready to take an active role in their therapy. They are open to structure, willing to reflect honestly, and motivated to build practical coping skills. I work best with individuals who value consistency, engage thoughtfully in sessions, and are interested in applying tools between appointments. This practice is well-suited to clients seeking growth, stability, and long-term improvement rather than crisis-only or passive support.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
My work with DBT focuses on building skills rather than crisis management alone. This approach works best for clients who are willing to practice skills consistently and engage actively in the process.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness is integrated in a practical, accessible way to support focus, reduce anxiety, and improve emotional balance. Rather than passive relaxation, mindfulness is used as an active tool to increase insight and intentional responding in daily life, work environments, and personal relationships.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
This approach is practical, focusing on increasing awareness, challenging distorted thinking, and developing more effective responses. This approach tends to be most helpful for an individual seeking active, goal-oriented therapy rather than passive or insight-only therapy.

She is a brilliant therapist—deeply empathetic and creates a safe space for you to share. As someone who values intellect she won’t let you hide behind old defense and survival mechanisms that no longer serve you which is exactly what you want for a breakthrough!

Christina Sanders has not only helped me find the courage and strength to heal from everything that happened to me before we worked together, she has also gotten me through many trials and tribulations as I was her client. She taught me things about myself that I always knew but never had the words for. She has a good sense of humor and a liberationist approach to therapy.

I felt the first visit went well and we connected well. I look forward to our next visit
