Hi, I'm Alon, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping adolescents and adults navigate anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, bipolar disorder, OCD, and other mental health challenges. I believe effective treatment starts with truly understanding your story—not just your symptoms. My approach is collaborative, practical, and evidence-based. I combine thoughtful medication management with supportive therapy, education, and lifestyle strategies to create a treatment plan that fits your goals and values. Whether you're seeking clarity about a diagnosis, struggling with stress that's affecting your daily life, or looking to feel like yourself again, we'll work together to build a path forward. I understand that reaching out for help can feel overwhelming, so I strive to create a judgment-free space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable asking questions. My goal is for every appointment to leave you with greater understanding, hope, and a clear plan for what comes next. Mental health is a journey, and you don't have to navigate it alone.

First session

Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and build a strong foundation for your care. We'll discuss what brought you to treatment, your current symptoms, medical and mental health history, lifestyle, and the goals you'd like to achieve. I'll take the time to understand not only your challenges but also your strengths, values, and what has or hasn't worked for you in the past. Together, we'll develop a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, therapeutic strategies, lifestyle recommendations, or referrals when appropriate. I believe in shared decision-making, so you'll have plenty of time to ask questions and feel confident about your treatment options. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful, with a clear plan for the next steps in your mental health journey.

Strengths

One of my greatest strengths is helping people feel heard while also providing clear direction. I strive to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where clients can speak openly, but I also believe meaningful growth comes from honest conversations. I'll meet you with compassion while challenging unhelpful patterns, negative beliefs, and behaviors that may be keeping you stuck. My clinical experience spans outpatient psychiatry, addiction treatment, emergency and hospital psychiatry, giving me the opportunity to work with people facing everything from everyday stress and anxiety to complex mental health conditions. Those experiences have taught me that every person's story is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to treatment. Clients often describe me as approachable, easy to talk to, and practical. I focus on helping you understand why you're feeling the way you are, not just prescribing medication. Together, we'll create realistic, evidence-based strategies that fit your life and help you make meaningful, lasting progress.

Ideal clients

My ideal client is someone who is ready to take an active role in improving their mental health. They may be struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood changes, trauma, stress, or life transitions, and they're looking for more than a quick fix they want to understand themselves better and create lasting change. Whether you're seeking a diagnosis, exploring medication options, or looking for guidance through a difficult season of life, I value a collaborative approach. I work best with clients who are open to honest conversations, willing to ask questions, and interested in developing practical strategies they can use in everyday life. No matter where you are in your journey, my goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered as we work together toward meaningful, long-term progress.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients identify and change unhelpful thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that contribute to anxiety, depression, stress, and other mental health concerns. Together, we'll recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop healthier ways of thinking, and build practical coping skills that can be applied in everyday life.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness techniques to help clients become more aware of their thoughts and emotions without judgment. By learning to stay present and respond thoughtfully rather than react automatically, many clients experience reduced stress, improved emotional regulation, and a greater sense of balance in their daily lives.

Thanks Alon Corrigan! I had a terrible first experience and I'm glad I gave the platform a second go. From the beginning, he was compassionate & an exceptional listener. Safe space was created, I genuinely felt heard. His intelligence and insight are obvious, but carried with absolute humility. I appreciated him actively challenging my thoughts in a way that felt highly constructive. Our session left me empowered & optimistic for the first time in years. I can't recommend him highly enough.
