I’m a licensed professional counselor with over 12 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families in navigating emotional, relational, and life challenges. I take a mind-body-spirit approach to therapy, integrating evidence-based practices with a holistic focus that honors the connection between emotional well-being, physical awareness, and personal meaning. My work is grounded in creating a supportive, collaborative space where clients can build insight, strengthen coping skills, and move toward healing and balance in a way that aligns with their values and life goals.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will focus on getting to know you and understanding what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, relevant history, and what you hope to gain from treatment, but you can share at a pace that feels comfortable for you. We will also begin identifying initial goals and discussing what support might be most helpful moving forward. My priority is to create a safe, respectful space where you feel heard and supported as we begin this process together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the integration of evidence-based methods with a holistic, mind-body-spirit perspective that treats each client as a whole person rather than a set of symptoms. I tailor my work to each individual’s needs, drawing from approaches such as CBT, attachment-based work, trauma-focused therapy, and culturally responsive practices to support meaningful and lasting change. I place strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship, creating a safe, collaborative space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. Clients often report improved emotional awareness, stronger coping skills, healthier relationships, and a greater sense of clarity and balance as they progress in therapy. My focus is not only on symptom relief, but also on helping clients build insight, resilience, and sustainable growth aligned with their values and goals

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve individuals, couples, and families who are seeking support with emotional, relational, and trauma-related concerns. This includes clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, grief, relationship difficulties, attachment challenges, and the lasting effects of trauma. I work well with clients who are motivated to gain insight into their thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns, even if they feel uncertain about where to begin. Many of the individuals I support are looking to improve communication, build healthier relationships, strengthen emotional regulation skills, and develop more adaptive ways of coping with life stressors. I also support clients who are navigating identity-related concerns, cultural stressors, or life transitions and who value a collaborative, respectful, and culturally responsive therapeutic environment. My approach is especially effective for clients who are open to structured, goal-oriented work while also engaging in deeper exploration of underlying emotional and relational patterns. Overall, I aim to provide a safe, supportive space where clients can increase self-understanding, build resilience, and make meaningful, sustainable changes aligned with their personal goals

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have over 12 years of experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my clinical practice. Throughout my work with clients, I have applied CBT to address a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, stress, and maladaptive thought patterns. I use CBT in a structured and collaborative way, helping clients identify unhelpful thoughts, challenge cognitive distortions, and develop more balanced and realistic thinking patterns. In my practice, I also integrate behavioral techniques such as exposure exercises, behavioral activation, and skills training to support clients in making practical changes in their daily lives. I typically assign between-session practice to reinforce skills and promote long-term progress. Over the years, I have found CBT to be an effective, evidence-based approach that empowers clients to better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

Attachment-based

“I have over 12 years of experience using Attachment therapy in my clinical practice. In my work with clients, I focus on understanding how early relational experiences influence current emotional functioning, relationship patterns, and coping strategies. I use attachment-based interventions to help clients build insight into their attachment styles and how these patterns show up in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in relationships. A key part of my approach involves creating a safe, consistent therapeutic relationship that serves as a corrective emotional experience and supports the development of trust and emotional regulation. In practice, I integrate techniques such as exploring attachment histories, identifying relational triggers, and helping clients develop more secure patterns of relating. I also support clients in building emotional awareness, improving communication skills, and developing healthier interpersonal boundaries. Over time, I have found attachment-based work to be especially effective in helping clients improve relationship stability, self-understanding, and emotional resilience.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

In my work with clients who have experienced trauma, I use CPT to help them process and reframe unhelpful beliefs related to the traumatic event, such as self-blame, guilt, shame, or feelings of ongoing danger. My approach involves helping clients identify “stuck points”—beliefs that keep them emotionally distressed or prevent recovery—and then systematically examine and challenge these beliefs using structured cognitive techniques. I also support clients in understanding how trauma has influenced their thoughts about themselves, others, and the world. In practice, I use a structured, evidence-based protocol that often includes psychoeducation about trauma responses, written impact statements, cognitive restructuring worksheets, and guided discussions to help clients develop more balanced and adaptive interpretations of their experiences. Over time, I have found CPT to be highly effective in reducing trauma-related symptoms and supporting clients in regaining a sense of safety, control, and emotional stability.

Couples Counseling

n my work with couples, I focus on helping partners improve communication, resolve conflict, and strengthen emotional connection within the relationship. I use a structured and collaborative approach to identify interaction patterns that contribute to distress, such as cycles of criticism, withdrawal, or defensiveness. I support couples in increasing awareness of these patterns and developing healthier ways of expressing needs, managing conflict, and responding to one another with greater empathy. In practice, I integrate evidence-based interventions such as communication skills training, conflict resolution strategies, and emotion-focused work to help partners better understand each other’s emotional experiences. I also help couples clarify expectations, rebuild trust when needed, and strengthen attachment and intimacy. Over the years, I have found couples counseling to be highly effective in improving relationship satisfaction and fostering more secure, respectful, and resilient partnerships

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

In my work with clients, I prioritize understanding each individual’s cultural background, identity, values, and lived experiences as central to the therapeutic process. I use a culturally responsive approach by actively exploring how culture, family systems, community context, and systemic factors influence a client’s mental health and coping strategies. This includes being mindful of cultural norms around emotional expression, help-seeking behaviors, and stigma related to mental health. In practice, I adapt therapeutic interventions to align with each client’s cultural framework and ensure that treatment is respectful, relevant, and collaborative. I also remain attentive to issues of power, privilege, and discrimination, and I support clients in processing experiences of marginalization when relevant. Over time, I have found that culturally sensitive therapy strengthens the therapeutic alliance and improves engagement, trust, and treatment outcomes.
