Hi I am a Native American licensed clinical social worker specializing in trauma, anxiety, and depression. With lived experience and deep cultural understanding, I integrate mindfulness-based therapy, ecotherapy, and Indigenous healing practices to guide individuals toward balance and resilience. My goal is to you empower you through innovative and evidenced based treatment approaches and, and provide compassionate support, helping to heal from generational trauma and achieve lasting well-being.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming and supportive environment where they can share their story and begin to feel heard and understood. I will guide the session by asking questions to understand their current challenges, goals, and what brought them to therapy. Together, we will explore your personal history, including experiences with trauma, anxiety, or depression, and identify any immediate concerns or priorities. You will also learn about my therapeutic approach, and we will collaboratively set initial goals for your healing journey. By the end of the session, you will have a clearer understanding of how therapy can support you and feel a sense of hope and partnership in their path forward.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider include my deep empathy, cultural sensitivity, and ability to create a safe, nonjudgmental space for clients to explore their experiences. My lived experience with trauma and resilience allows me to connect with clients authentically and provide compassionate guidance. I bring a unique blend of evidence-based approaches, such as mindfulness-based therapy, and culturally rooted practices, including Indigenous healing traditions, to support holistic healing. My commitment to empowering clients to rediscover their strengths, coupled with my adaptability to meet each individual’s unique needs, enables me to foster meaningful growth and transformation.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am best positioned to serve individuals who have experienced trauma, anxiety, and depression, particularly clients from marginalized communities who face the impacts of generational trauma, cultural disconnection, or systemic inequities. My ideal clients are those seeking a compassionate and culturally informed approach to healing, whether they are professionals struggling to balance high-performance roles with personal well-being, individuals in recovery from addiction or mental health challenges, or youth and families seeking guidance and support. I excel in working with clients who value holistic and mindful practices, including those open to integrating spirituality, ecotherapy, and Indigenous traditions into their healing journey.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use evidence-based CBT techniques to collaboratively work with clients, identifying and challenging distorted thought patterns while promoting healthier coping mechanisms and behavioral responses. By fostering awareness, insight, and skill development, CBT I assist individuals in navigating a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health concerns, promoting positive change and improved overall well-being.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a specialized therapeutic approach that I embrace, designed to help individuals process and heal from distressing experiences and trauma. EMDR involves a structured eight-phase protocol that integrates bilateral stimulation, typically through guided eye movements, to facilitate the adaptive processing of traumatic memories. This evidence-based therapy aims to help individuals reprocess traumatic experiences, reducing the emotional charge associated with these memories and promoting psychological healing.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use mindfulness-based therapy to help clients navigate trauma, anxiety, and depression by fostering a deep sense of presence and self-awareness. Through practices like guided meditation, breathing exercises, and mindful reflection, clients learn to observe their thoughts and emotions without judgment, reducing the overwhelming intensity of negative experiences. By integrating mindfulness with culturally informed approaches, clients build resilience, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and restore a sense of balance and harmony in their lives. This process empowers individuals to connect with their inner strengths and create a pathway toward healing and growth
