Welcome! If you are struggling with daily stressors, the state of the world or traumatic experiences, I welcome you to contact me to explore how I can support and help in your healing. Therapy is a space dedicated to exploring your life and mind with the hope of something brighter and lighter. It is to alleviate that tension that may have been weighing you down for some time. I see the therapeutic space as a puzzle that begins with the pieces you put on the table but slowly comes together, through our work, to see the final clearer image. As your therapist, I will help empower and guide you towards unlocking tools to improve your mental well-being.
First session will introduce my practice and methods and we begin from your current presenting concern, your background or a current symptoms you may be struggling with. I can guide our session to ease you into learning more about my practice and how I can further help you.
I approach therapy as one human being to another. I value presenting my authentic self and a non-judgemental, comfortable environment where you can open up. I work eclectically through various methods and modalities of therapy based on what is a good fit for the client.
I provide a space for healing and transformative work to take place. I value authentic acceptance of who you are and the world you live in. I utilize a combination of evidence-based (CBT, DBT, EMDR) and holistic practices (Mindfulness, Meditation, Breathwork) to serve my clients in their journey. While I do not think I have all the solutions, I will help you find your own. I am here to guide you to your best self, whatever that vision may entail.
Integral to my practice as it recognizes the prevalence and impact of trauma and importance of creating a therapeutic environment where clients who have experienced trauma can feel safe, respected, and empowered.
I am trained in EMDR which is mainly utilized to process trauma but can also be used for anxiety, grief, issues with self-esteem etc.
This evidence-based treatment method is utilized to modify negative thought patterns, develop problem solving abilities and improve everyday life and mood.
To recognize and understand the cultural backgrounds of my clients to build a therapeutic alliance where clients feel comfortable.
