Greetings! So glad you stopped by my page. Are you looking for someone who will listen to you, see you, and journey with you to clarity, peace, freedom? If you are here and still reading then we should connect. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Marriage Therapist with over 15 years of experience, specializing in holistic wellness (spirit-mind-body-emotions), personal and professional development and communication and intimacy. I also counsel those wanting to manage anxiety and stress. Did I mention I am Sex therapist as well? I have a private practice based in Atlanta, Georgia. My clients describe me as empathetic, supportive, warm, welcoming, directional when needed, gently assertiveness, knowledgeable, resourceful and approachable. Currently, most of my time is spent supporting high-achieving professionals, particularly Black men and women, who are navigating complex personal and relational challenges. Whether you’re a couple seeking greater connection and intimacy, or a professional woman managing burnout, stress, or identity concerns, I’m here to help you build emotional resilience, embrace vulnerability, and achieve lasting growth in both your personal and professional life. You will not journey alone!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

You can expect our first session to be professional yet informal. We'll begin with brief introductions, expectations, and get to know a little about each other. I understand that this is the first time we will be meeting so I'll go at your pace and learn your goals, expectations, and apprehensions. As we build rapport, I'll ask about your learning style and particular goals you would like to achieve during our time together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

With over 16 years of experience, I've developed a natural love for asking thoughtful questions and leading with genuine curiosity. I want you to feel seen and valued. Empathy is a gift that I carry with honor. I truly have a genuine care and concern for the outcome of your wellbeing and can assist you in identifying the root cause of your challenges, while formulating a personalized plan that leads to measurable progress.

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

I am a believer, who acts as a guide, ultimately leading you to the true source who provides; healing, wholeness, clarity, and belonging. I listen with empathy and provide biblical tools for everyday living. We journey together using scriptures, stories, gratitude, and application. I provide you with guided accountability.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice I would use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected and how these patterns influence your current challenges. We start by identifying your recurring thoughts, especially those that feel automatic and may be causing distress or anxiety. For example, if you often feel anxious in social situations, we’d look at the thoughts that accompany those feelings, like fears of judgment or rejection. By recognizing these thought patterns, we create a foundation for understanding what’s driving the discomfort or stress.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is used to help clients connect with and understand their emotions on a deeper level. EFT is especially effective in addressing relationship dynamics, whether in couples, family, or individual therapy. We start by identifying the emotions driving your current thoughts, behaviors, and relationship patterns. Many times, primary emotions like sadness, fear, or loneliness are hidden beneath more immediate reactions like anger or withdrawal. By uncovering these core feelings, you gain insight into what’s truly influencing your responses, helping you access parts of yourself that may have been overlooked or suppressed. I’ll guide you in learning to identify, accept, and express your emotions in healthy ways. This involves increasing awareness of your body’s signals, understanding what these emotions are communicating, and responding to them without being overwhelmed. This ability to emotionally regulate helps you feel more grounded and resilient in day-to-day life.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

In my practice, I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients focus on their goals and build practical solutions in a relatively short period. SFBT is future-focused, aiming to help you recognize your strengths and resources to create meaningful, positive change quickly.

Humanistic

Humanistic approach provides a compassionate, client-centered environment that respects your unique experiences, values, and potential. Humanistic therapy is grounded in the belief that each person has an innate capacity for growth and self-fulfillment. My primary focus is on creating a non-judgmental, warm, and accepting space where you feel safe to express yourself openly. I approach each session with empathy and respect for your personal experiences, aiming to foster a sense of trust that encourages genuine sharing. This safe space allows you to explore both strengths and challenges without fear of criticism or expectation. We collaborate together. I see us as partners in your journey. I’m here to support, guide, and reflect, but ultimately, I believe you are the expert in your life. My role is to provide encouragement and insight as you discover your own path to growth and self-acceptance. In our sessions, I help you explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences deeply, encouraging self-reflection to gain greater self-awareness. I may ask open-ended questions like, “What does that experience mean to you?” or “How do you feel when you think about that?” This aids in understanding yourself more fully and appreciating who you are. I am here to help you to connect to your authentic self in order to unlock your full potential. Together, we’ll explore what’s meaningful to you, your aspirations, and any barriers that may be holding you back.
