New to Grow
One of my strengths is helping clients make sense of what’s happening in the moment—not just after the fact. I work with people navigating intense, complicated situations and focus on creating a space where you can be open about what’s really going on, without feeling judged or shut down. My approach is direct, steady, and collaborative, helping you understand the pattern and make meaningful changes.
In our first session, we’ll focus on understanding what brought you in and getting a clear picture of the patterns you’re dealing with. I’ll ask questions to help identify what’s happening in the moments where things tend to escalate, and we’ll begin mapping out how those patterns develop. My goal is for you to leave with a better understanding of what’s going on—and a sense of where we’re headed next.
One of my strengths is helping clients make sense of what’s happening in the moment—not just after the fact. I’m particularly skilled at identifying patterns that escalate quickly and helping clients slow things down enough to see their options more clearly. My background in high-acuity and forensic settings has shaped my ability to stay grounded, direct, and focused, even when situations feel intense or complex.
I work with adults and couples navigating conflict, stress, and patterns that feel hard to break. Many clients feel frustrated by repeating the same reactions or conversations, especially in high-pressure or emotional situations. Often, they understand what they want to do differently, but struggle to follow through in the moment. My approach is practical, human, direct, and collaborative, focused on helping you understand what’s happening, slow things down, and build more effective, consistent ways of responding.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients identify patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that keep them stuck. Together, we break down real-life situations to understand what’s driving reactions and build more effective responses. My approach is practical and collaborative, focusing on insight, skill-building, and lasting change.
Couples Counseling
In couples work, I focus on helping partners understand the patterns they get pulled into—especially around conflict, communication, and unmet expectations. I work to slow down interactions, clarify underlying needs, and help each person take more effective responsibility within the relationship. The goal is not just resolution, but creating a more stable and workable dynamic.
Forensic Psychology
My background in forensic psychology informs how I understand behavior, accountability, and decision-making under stress. I help clients examine patterns related to impulsivity, conflict, and high-stakes situations, with a focus on increasing awareness, responsibility, and control. This approach is especially helpful for individuals navigating legal, behavioral, or high-consequence environments.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients work through ambivalence and build internal motivation for change. Rather than pushing direction, I help clients clarify what they want, what’s getting in the way, and how to move forward in a way that aligns with their values. This approach is especially useful when change feels difficult or inconsistent.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Solution-focused work helps clients identify what’s already working and build from there. I focus on clear, achievable steps that move clients toward their goals, rather than getting stuck in the problem. This approach is practical, goal-oriented, and designed to create momentum quickly.
