Hello! I am an LPC based in Texas, and I have been in practice for six years. I focus on adolescents and adults who are looking for assistance with navigating PTSD, anxiety, depression, and relationships. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision, so I prioritize learning as much as I can about new techniques. Fun facts: I have a dog and cat who pretend to dislike each other; I love Minecraft, creative projects, and traveling. I can't wait to meet you!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

When you come in for your first session, you can expect to be given the opportunity to share whatever is on your mind and receive compassion and insight in return. From there we will work together to come up with a plan that you are comfortable with. I am passionate about people being free to share their stories, process emotions, and feel equipped to face life’s challenges. You can expect to leave most sessions with tools to practice at home.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As odd as it may sound, I feel that one of my greatest strengths as a provider is not taking life too seriously. Don't get me wrong- I strongly believe that fully exploring each emotion is essential to healing; however, I am also one to embrace a little bit of dark humor here and there. I think I create an inviting space and am often told that I am easy to talk to. You can always expect authenticity from me.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with older adolescents, young adults, and young professionals. Most of my clients fall into the age range of 16 to 45 years-old. They often are working on processing past (or present) traumas, and working to improve their current relationships. Many of them struggle with anxiety and codependent tendencies. By addressing their PTSD, we are able to create strategies that aid in managing their symptoms.

My treatment methods

EMDR

If you choose to use EMDR, you can expect to spend time learning grounding techniques before jumping into the processing phase. Most of my clients have seen long-lasting changes from using EMDR and find it to be challenging, at times. We will work together to ensure that you are well-prepared before embarking on an EMDR journey.

Integrative

My goal is to create a collaborative environment with each of my clients. We will work together to determine a treatment plan that is comfortable for you. For most of my clients, this includes a mixture of trauma informed talk therapy, EMDR, sandtray, solution-focused therapy, and CBT.

Trauma Informed Care

Every training I have received is rooted in trauma-informed care. This is the foundation of my practice and is integrated into every approach I use with clients.
