Hello, I'm Arielle. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia and am certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am currently accepting new clients for Teletherapy where together we can build your support team and create the growth and healing you are seeking. Remember, you deserve to take time for yourself and reconnect with who you are. There may be times when you feel off balance, overwhelmed, or struggling to cope with changes in your environment or identity. Are you experiencing the pull of being a new mom or parent, the demands of your job or relationships, or the stress of defining and understanding what you need and putting yourself first? Are you expecting or on the path to trying to conceive? Or have you experienced a loss? These are real-life experiences that you may need some additional support in navigating. This is a safe space for you to explore positive ways to cope and grow and heal and I am here to be a support during this journey. Whether it is past trauma or current life situations and stressors, there is no need to struggle alone. You can learn to manage symptoms, build your support system, and begin finding ways to be your true self through self-awareness.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our time in session, we will first build a foundation consisting of therapeutic rapport and trust. I like to make sure you are also empowered in knowing that this is your time and space for healing and can be open and honest and feel supported with no judgment or negativity. We will establish goals together and work towards them each session.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I utilize CBT, EMDR, and talk therapy paired with mindfulness and grounding techniques to assist you with managing and understanding perinatal mood disorders, processing trauma, addressing anxiety and depression, and challenging and changing negative cognitions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My specialty is Maternal Mental Health and Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders. I work with parents at various stages including trying to conceive/expecting, new parents, grieving parents, and birthing parents trying to find balance and self-care.
