(she/her)
I am passionate about helping people heal from trauma, specifically unprocessed trauma that has resulted in debilitating PTSD symptoms. I have training in prolonged exposure therapy for PTSD, sex therapy, experience working with clients with body image issues, and clients struggling with chronic illness. My work focuses on helping clients heal from trauma, decrease PTSD symptoms that leave them unable to function, and develop a deeper knowledge of, understanding of, and relationship with themselves. I am knowledgeable, supportive of, and love working with individuals in the polyamory and kink communities.
I offer a calm, non-judgmental, collaborative space for you to explore yourself, your patterns, and your relationships. I meet clients with warmth and compassion right where they are and hold space for the change they want to create. I love incorporating humor into session when it makes sense. In our first session, I will ask a lot of questions to get a better and deeper understanding of the problem or concerns that brought you to therapy, and if we have time, more in-depth personal history.
My approach to therapy is calm, welcoming, down-to-earth, and direct. I create a supportive space where clients feel safe, understood, and able to do hard things. I offer trauma therapy and integrative psychotherapy using a blend of psychodynamic therapy, DBT, and person-centered counseling. This holistic, trauma-informed approach supports clients in exploring emotional patterns, strengthening relationships, and reconnecting with their bodies. I provide inclusive, affirming therapy and welcome clients of all backgrounds. I am open to incorporating religion or spirituality in therapy, or keeping sessions secular, based on your preferences. I proudly offer LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy and work with individuals and relationships within the queer, kink, and ethically non-monogamous (ENM) communities. My practice is grounded in respect, consent, and compassion.
I work with clients who want to regain their lives after traumatic experiences-- particularly clients whose anxiety related to trauma has left them unable to do things they previously loved to do, or even leave their homes to go to work most days. I treat clients with trauma and active PTSD symptoms using prolonged exposure therapy -- a first-line treatment method for PTSD.
