New to Grow
Hi! I'm originally from San Francisco. I have worked with adults from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences to find hope and make lasting change for more than 10 yrs. I work with clients to create an open and safe environment where you'll create insight and awareness about patterns. My approach primarily focuses on adults who are interested in enhancing their relationship with themselves to create more rewarding and authentic relationships.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we will discuss what your current challenges are, how they impact your life, and what you're looking to get from therapy. We will create a plan based on your needs/goals which we will work on in follow-up sessions.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I have more than 10 yrs of experience as a therapist. I believe therapy should be interactive which guides my approach to help client's make changes. I consider therapy a mutual endeavor and will often provide feedback and suggestions as possible tools to promote change. I have a warm, empathic nature and I am respectful of individual choices/values. Looking forward to working together.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My clients are dedicated to their growth process. They often are looking to fine-tune an area in their lives/relationships or they're navigating life changes. Many of my clients are navigating life transitions, struggling with anxiety, creating work-life balance, and those looking to access a better relationship with themselves and others. My clients are motivated to make changes in their lives. I am open to client's feedback and we can adjust therapy as needed.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I play an active role in helping clients identify patterns that keep you stuck and work to change thoughts/behaviors that contribute to distress and mental health symptoms. CBT focuses on problem solving and skill-building. My role is to be a help guide and support clients to change.
Psychodynamic
I help clients explore their past experiences, early relationships, and emotions with the goal to gain insight and self-awareness while changing current behavior patterns. Psychodynamic therapy perspective is "work of the soul" and holistic, leading to wholeness & resilience. The work includes open-ended questions, examining and processing emotions, and exploration of current behaviors. Sessions are always tailored to client's specific needs and unique goals.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS can support clients to overcome anxiety, depression, and navigate life transitions. I utilize IFS so that we can become curious about the parts of oneself and find the support you need. IFS aims to restore inner balance, self-compassion, and emotional wellbeing.
