Hi! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) located in Georgia. I received my master’s from Troy University and have been practicing for 5 years. I work with adults who struggle with trauma, stress, anxiety, and depression. I am a collaborative therapist working to assist clients dig deep to find the tools they need to feel safe and to take back control of their lives.
In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions, then address specific challenges you are facing. There will be a good number of questions to help me gain insight and create a tailored plan for us to work through throughout this journey.
Having been in the military for 14 years and the counseling field for the last 5 years have cultivated my love for others and non-judgmental atmosphere that is needed to guide you through this journey.
CBT teaches my clients to use coping skills for dealing with different problems. Focusing on how their thoughts, beliefs and attitudes affect their feelings and actions.
Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) helps guide and teach my clients to accept their thoughts and feelings while committing to living according to your values.
Client centered therapy, or person centered therapy, is an approach to talk therapy that require my clients to actively take the reins during each therapy session, while I act as a guide or a source of support for the client.
This approach is goal-focused incorporating positive psychology principles and practices, and which helps clients change by constructing solutions rather then focusing on the problem..
