I am an energetic, humorous, queer, mother of 2 with 17+ years experience in helping people with mental health struggles. I use an eclectic approach including CBT and mindfulness to help clients deal with symptoms of depression of anxiety. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community I am most passionate about helping those in the community including those dealing with issues surrounding gender identity.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session I would gather some preliminary information, do a brief introduction and give you the opportunity to describe what is troubling you the most. From there, we can start working on a plan to help you feel better.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

With many years of experience working with people with all sorts of trauma and struggles in life I have become really good at helping people find joy and hope in even the darkest parts of life. The use of humor and compassion are my greatest strengths.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

I use a variety of treatment methods and like to tailor my therapy to individual clients based on their needs.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Identifying negative thought patterns and cognitive distortions is an integral part of my practice. Positive reframing can be a life changer.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness and meditation are practices that I love to teach and encourage clients to try. In a chaotic and stressful world, learning to stay in the present moment and ground oneself can be very helpful.
