Hello! My name is Alli and I am so happy you are here! I love to help people discover their internal strengths and connect with their inner light…If you are reading this, it is likely that you or a loved one is experiencing a challenge. Life can get messy and being human can be hard. Maybe you are feeling stuck, stressed, worried, or have an overwhelming sense of pain or emptiness in your life right now. Maybe you are struggling with a relationship in your life or grieving a loss. Maybe you are looking to make a change in your life and are in need of some support. Or, maybe you are unsure what you are feeling. Whatever you are experiencing, the first step toward healing & growth takes courage. You have already taken that step by reading this. I understand how lonely and paralyzing it can feel when our inner light is not shining very bright. There is hope for you–your inner light wants to shine! I believe you have the internal resources and strengths within you to heal and grow– it would be an honor to work alongside you to help you discover them. Counseling can be a safe space to explore thought patterns, heal emotional wounds, and find acceptance and joy in our lives and in our relationships. I have counseled children, teens, and adults in clinical, as well as school settings. I love working with clients of all ages. Sometimes when we are struggling with emotional pain, we put our life on hold, and believe we need to “fix” things before we can start enjoying life. My main goal during our first session is provide a safe space for you to share your thoughts and feelings, answer any questions that you may have, and to listen to your hopes and goals for counseling. I also strive to provide resources and strategies that clients can apply to their lives in-between sessions (I often provide suggestions for podcasts, books, worksheets, thought logs, etc. which are individualized for each client's goals / needs). My counseling style is collaborative, and my clients and I work together to develop goals that best fit their needs.
It is an honor to walk alongside people through their counseling journey. I use counseling strategies that align with Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT). I am a compassion focused and strength based counselor--it is very important to me that clients learn to be a friend to themselves and recognize their internal strengths. It is also very important to me that each client feels heard, valued, accepted and celebrated for the person that they are ... I truly love the work that I am honored to get to do...
