If chronic pain, health issues, or other life stressors have changed your life and you are tired of not feeling like yourself, I am here to help. I am a dedicated and compassionate licensed therapist with almost two decades of experience supporting others. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Science degree in clinical counseling. I have over 20 years as a business professional in the medical field in management and supervision. The best part of my workday was helping others, so I started my journey to change careers to the helping profession. I bring a well-rounded background of knowledge in different areas of life.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I believe the counseling relationship is most important. Clients embrace the process if they feel safe to talk about hard topics and share thoughts and feelings they do not want other to know. Feeling safe to share and not feeling judged allows therapy to work. Starting this counseling foundation is my priority in the first session.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Some of my strengths are in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), and Mindfulness-Based interventions, tailoring my approach to best fit each client’s unique needs. My passion is partnering with clients in recognizing their strengths and developing skills to live an improved quality of life, especially with those who are dealing with chronic health conditions and/or chronic pain.

I utilize a collaborative, integrative approach, drawing from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based practices, and person-centered techniques to tailor each session to the unique needs of clients.

Motivational Interviewing

I partner with clients to help them come to their best options in moving forward for improvements in their quality of life by this treatment intervention. Answers come from within when supported in a safe space and being heard.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness simply means being in the moment. We often live life with concerns about the future or thinking about the past. Being in the present moment allows us to gain understanding out what we want or need. This helps to set up our goals and have a plan to move forward.
