Hi, I'm Brit. I'm a neurodivergent and highly sensitive expressive arts therapist. I support folks in Asheville and virtually throughout NC. I received my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Expressive Arts Therapy from Goddard College. I am a Registered Expressive Arts Therapist through the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association and I have been practicing for 6 years. I work with children, teens and adults in my therapy practice.
In our first session, we will begin to get to know one another and will talk about what challenges you have been experiencing. I will guide you through a creative exercise to explore your goals and what you are hoping to get out of your therapy experience. Additionally, we will develop a collaborative plan of care that best supports your individual needs.
I bring a gentle and creative approach to my therapy practice by using drawing, painting, writing, and other art processes to help you experience, express, and understand your emotions. My goal is to support you in taking creative action to improve your mental health.
I focus on working with folks who are pregnant or postpartum, as well as with individuals across the lifespan who are navigating anxiety, life transitions, low self-worth, sensory sensitivities, and/or grief.
I collaborate with my clients to identify what would be most helpful to explore in each session.
I offer clients a variety of hands-on creative activities for exploring their emotions and increasing self-awareness.
I am committed to creating a therapeutic space that promotes healing, understanding, and equity for everyone I work with.
I prioritize providing gender-affirming therapy to support my clients on their journeys of self-discovery and self-acceptance. I create a brave and inclusive space where individuals of all gender identities can explore their feelings, experiences, and goals.
