Welcome! I'm a New York based therapist (LMHC-Licensed Mental Health Counselor). I received my Masters from Columbia University and have been practicing for 15 years. I help adults struggling with managing their stress, difficulties with life changes, general anxiety, career stress, and work burnout. My passion is to support clients with learning about themselves, how to pursue their life goals and learning how to cope, in order for them to become the better versions of themselves. **Important: Please Note that myself and Grow Therapy do not provide Crisis, Mental Health Crisis or Emergency Services; You must utilize emergency response phone numbers 911, or 988 Suicide and Crisis LifeLine Hotline and go to your local hospital emergency room immediately if you are in crisis or having an Emergency**.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

1) First Intake Session & Consultation: In our first session together, we'll start with introductions, and I will begin to conduct my consultation and initial intake interview with you, so I can learn about your therapy goals and your mental health symptoms, in order for me to determine if I am the best fit therapist for you. 2) Follow-Up Sessions: If I am the best fit for you, we will have follow-up sessions. This is when you begin the exciting and growth producing part of therapy! During sessions you can expect that you and I will work as a team, in a supportive, compassionate, authentic safe space. We will collaborate and create therapy strategies to support you with your therapy goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I provide a safe space for clients by genuinely listening, being encouraging, compassionate and sharing kind honest therapeutic feedback. I focus on clients strengths, motivation and action-oriented skill building, in order to support them with achieving their desired outcomes. By working with adults ages 18-55, through various life stages, I've developed a supportive nature, to help clients identify the causes of their challenges and create a customized plan that leads to progress.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am passionate about working with populations such as high-functioning adults or professionals between the ages 21-50, whom are motivated and action-oriented, about learning how to improve their stress management, improve their well-being, and increase self-care skills. My clients are enthusiastic and motivated to practice new skills to improve their lives. They often feel overwhelmed or are experiencing burn-out regarding either their careers or their general life goals.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize an Integrative and Holistic therapy approach, using CBT Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Psychoanalytic Therapy, and Humanistic therapy, using Multicultural sensitive considerations. This approach supports clients unique needs to support with motivation, gaining insight, finding solutions, challenging thoughts and managing emotions. We will use CBT to learn how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other, and how to change these patterns to improve your mental health.

Humanistic

This is a form of therapy that encourages a person-centered approach, using compassion, attentive listening, authenticity, strength based feedback, unconditional positive regard, to create an emotional safe space for a client to feel seen, heard, supported, validated about their life experience. It creates a gentle space for clients to work on their growth to address the changes they want to make and pursue the goals they want to pursue.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness based Cognitive therapy combines mindfulness techniques with cognitive therapy to help people address anxiety, stress, and depression.

Psychoanalytic

Being a good candidate for psychoanalysis involves a willingness to commit to treatment, a desire for self-exploration, and an openness to exploring the unconscious mind. This form of therapy can assist with addressing relationship difficulties, and navigating life transitions, and can be particularly helpful in understanding underlying patterns and motivations.
