Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session will focus on establishing a safe and supportive environment, and exploring the client's presenting concerns.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to work collaboratively with clients, meeting them where they are and helping them feel heard supported and involved in therapeutic process.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Adults or older teens interested in exploring their personal barriers to growth. The barriers might include unresolved trauma, depression, maladaptive coping mechanisms etc. Client's who are going through a big life transition, that can include graduating, moving, changing jobs, starting a family, leaving a relationship or retiring. Some therapy goals might be personal growth and awareness, reduction of symptoms related to PTSD, anxiety, depression etc. and ultimately gaining better understanding of self and implementing adaptive coping mechanisms for an overall healthier self.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is used to help clients understand how thoughts influence emotions, emotions influence behaviors, and behaviors can reinforce thoughts in emotions. CBT can help break this cycle, improving mental and emotional health.

Humanistic

Humanistic approach to therapy is based on the belief that people generally want to grow, improve, have capacity for self-awareness, and benefit from empathy, acceptance, and supportive relationships.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution focused therapy assumes that people already have the strengths and resources that can help them, small changes can lead to larger improvements, and shifts can be shaped by what works.
