Hello, and welcome. My name is Nickosha Wayne, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to helping adolescents and adults navigate life's challenges with compassion and practical support. I provide a warm, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore their concerns, build coping skills, and work toward meaningful personal growth. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to each individual's unique goals and needs.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to therapy. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, strengths, and goals to gain a better understanding of your unique situation. This initial appointment is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, share what you're hoping to gain from therapy, and determine whether we're a good fit. Together, we'll begin identifying treatment goals and creating a plan that supports your needs, helping you feel comfortable, supported, and empowered as we start the therapeutic process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What sets my approach apart is my ability to balance empathy and validation with practical, goal-oriented support. I strive to create a space where clients feel genuinely heard and understood while also helping them develop concrete strategies to manage challenges and create meaningful change. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I take a holistic view of each client's experience, recognizing how personal, relational, environmental, and systemic factors can impact mental health. I tailor treatment to each individual's unique needs, drawing from evidence-based approaches such as CBT and supportive therapy to help clients build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and achieve their goals at a pace that feels comfortable and sustainable.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve adolescents and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, and difficulties with emotional regulation. I also work well with individuals navigating work-related stress, burnout, family conflicts, and challenges related to personal growth and identity. Many of the clients I work with are seeking a supportive, collaborative space where they can feel heard, gain insight into their experiences, and develop practical coping skills. Whether a client is looking to improve their mental health, build healthier relationships, increase confidence, or better manage life's challenges, I strive to help them identify meaningful goals and make sustainable progress toward them.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we explore unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge beliefs that may be contributing to distress, and develop healthier ways of coping with life's challenges. My approach is collaborative and goal-oriented. I help clients build practical skills to manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, and life transitions. Through CBT, clients learn strategies they can apply both in and outside of sessions to create lasting changes in their daily lives. I tailor CBT interventions to each client's unique needs, helping them develop greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and confidence in their ability to navigate difficult situations.

Supportive

I use a supportive therapy approach to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can openly discuss their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. My goal is to help clients feel heard, understood, and validated while navigating life's challenges. Through supportive therapy, I help clients strengthen coping skills, build resilience, improve self-esteem, and process difficult emotions. I offer encouragement, guidance, and practical problem-solving while helping clients recognize their strengths and develop greater confidence in managing stress, relationships, and personal growth. I tailor my approach to each individual's needs, creating a collaborative therapeutic relationship that fosters emotional well-being and meaningful change.
