Hi, I’m Billy, a psychotherapist who believes healing happens in safe, collaborative spaces where your story is honored without judgment. I specialize in trauma-informed care and work with individuals navigating anxiety, identity, relationships, life transitions, and a variety of other issues. My approach is warm, curious, and grounded in the belief that growth is possible when we feel truly seen, heard, and supported.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where we’ll start getting to know each other and explore what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask some questions about your history, current challenges, and goals, but we’ll go at your pace—there’s no pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with. My goal is to help you feel safe, heard, and supported from the very beginning.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my approach is the combination of warmth, insight, and trauma-informed care that meets each client exactly where they are. I draw from modalities like psychodynamic therapy, parts work, and mindfulness-based practices to help clients deepen self-understanding and build emotional resilience. Clients often tell me they feel genuinely seen in our work—and that therapy with me helps them not just cope, but grow in meaningful, lasting ways.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to serve individuals who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected—whether due to trauma, anxiety, identity questions, or challenging relationships. Many of my clients are deep thinkers, caregivers, or creatives who long for clarity, healing, and a stronger sense of self. If you’re looking for a space to explore your story with compassion and curiosity, I’m here to walk that path with you.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and maladaptive behaviors. In my practice, I integrate CBT techniques such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral experiments, and exposure exercises to support clients in building more adaptive coping strategies and achieving meaningful change. I also tailor CBT interventions to individual needs, often blending them with other approaches to enhance flexibility and depth in the therapeutic process.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have extensive experience using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support clients dealing with emotional dysregulation, self-harming behaviors, and relationship challenges. In my practice, I integrate DBT skills—such as distress tolerance, emotion regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness—into individual sessions to help clients build resilience and navigate life with greater balance and intention. I also emphasize the dialectical approach of accepting clients as they are while supporting meaningful change.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I have extensive experience providing culturally sensitive therapy, focusing on understanding each client’s unique cultural background, values, and identity. In my practice, I strive to create a nonjudgmental, inclusive space where clients feel seen and respected, integrating their cultural context into treatment goals and interventions. This approach supports deeper connection, trust, and more meaningful progress in therapy.

Trauma Informed Care

I have extensive experience using trauma-informed therapy, which centers on creating a safe, empowering environment that honors each client’s unique history and resilience. In my practice, I integrate principles such as trust, collaboration, and choice, while carefully pacing sessions to avoid retraumatization. This approach helps clients feel grounded and supported as they work through the impacts of trauma at their own pace.
